WEEK 6 With the deaths of Viktor Nikiforov, Varric Tethras, and Killia, you're down to half of your original number. There's only fifteen of you left. How much longer before your number drops again? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, that doesn't mean that you've gained nothing else among the many, many losses you've faced; it seems that another floor has been made available to you for surviving another week. [Well, then Hanyuu very carefully brushes some hair away from the flower. Poor girl got so worked up, and Hanyuu wants to make sure it's secure.

She sits down with her.]

Do you think that's really what the Wordsmith might be trying to do? Change reality?

[ She shakes her head, laughing ]

There's some truth in that, yeah! Doesn't mean you can't change a little, I guess, but you might as well go full blast!

[introspects]

No, no! That wasn't rude at all. I understand.

[ he lost someone important. how can she be upset at him for that? ]

I...guess I'm just sorry for everything that's happened...and for bringing it up. I'm sure you wanted to come here to relax...

[She's pretty solemn, all things considered, but at the very least she's not angry. She knows what the consequences are now, at least.]

Assuming no one would attempt to drag me back...I understand, and accept that. You deserve to survive, and see your family again. I'm certain they must miss you something terrible.

The thought of her will keep you safe, is that so?

But...it won't be the same as how Killia does it, I think. He made me curry, but cooking it is a whole different story.

[ Mikazuki means it, and there is finally at least a smile on his part. ]

There is still finding where all those keys go to, and I suppose seeing to looking around a bit more.

[ In her heart of hearts, Elda knows what she just said, what she just promised cannot the whole truth. But in spite of - no, because of the fact that Lusamine is her friend, she cannot and will not be totally honest there.

And so she's left licking her lips a she trails around the next nail. ]

That's... very kind of you to say, Lusamine. [ . . . ] Survival isn't about deserving though, I don't think. Really, it can't be, at this point.

...A guy kidnapped me when I was little. His name's Pryce. He was supposed to be dead, but Celebi spared him, so after seeing a lot of things in the timestream, he came to help save the world.

He kidnapped me because my father was considered elite. A powerful trainer. He saw potential in me, big sis, and some other trainers, and kidnapped us all at different ages. I was the youngest. I was two.

My dad runs a powerful organization called Team Rocket. They're evil to the core, and put the world and Arceus in danger. Despite that, my father is fighting against that danger to save the world, too. My latest memory's the second time I met him. He's dying in my arms again.

[But hey, maybe he'll live again. If they all don't die, anyway.]

I grew up in the woods, away from people, for fear of being kidnapped again. When I was fed up with having no freedom, I sought out Master Lance. He made us strong. He helped me get revenge. When I first got here, he was ambushed by the same lowlife that messed up my eyes. I didn't know what happened at the time, or anything about his well-being. Right now, he's helping save the world, too.

And then there's Gold. He's the first friend I ever made. He helped me fight the guy that kidnapped me. We've been through thick and thin together. He offered me his home, his family, and I turned it away until I got here because I'm an idiot. We thought everyone was going to die, so we took a gamble, and because I didn't react fast enough, Gold is dead. But in my memories, he's clear as day, helping us save the world, taking on Arceus by himself.

[Fate's a pretty weird thing, isn't it. Despite all of this, Silver sounds more exhausted than anything else, and doesn't look visibly upset.]

I don't know what's going to happen, and I'm tired of trying to figure it out. I'd rather spend it with you guys.

[introspects]

Hm...there are probably more hints throughout the building. I'll keep an eye out.

Ah, sorry, I didn't mean to surprise you, but...

[ Mikazuki is many things, while he can be oblivious, he can be also highly observant... particularly when it is inconvenient for people. He doesn't do it on purpose, though. It just happens. ]

I thought that you may have needed help with something, so I came in.

[ He'll make a pointed pause, and then just...sort of smile a little too. ]

[He wouldn't be surprised if Mikazuki already figured out exactly why he was in here with a blank piece of paper and a pen, but he sighs like he's frustrated anyway.]

...Have you written any letters to the dead here.

[It's not really asked like it's a question, even though it obviously is one.]

[matchbreaker]

The keys, that box I discovered and the passcode for it, the implication that we stand where others once stood... not to mention contact with the Wordsmith or Kageshirou and their motivations.

[ she's counting these off on her fingers, not that he can see it under the arms of the mascot. And she taps on the piano keys a few times ]

I don't get any of it, I'm no detective.

[matchbreaker]

Yeah, both of this and for the keys.

[ She sighs. ]

... We all need to keep an eye out, I suspect.

[feistytrader]

...I don't get scared very much. Not much gets at me like that. I flew in god's face.

[There's... What, people knowing about his dad? He doesn't care anymore. Losing his friends? That's a pretty big one, even now.]

But nothing's scarier than having everyone's eyes on you in that room. Nothing.

[He's not sure he could articulate it, but he can still freshly picture the fear- of everyone turning against him, of being alone, of dying and losing Gold or losing everyone and the only thing he could do is try to furiously push back, as harshly as he could, to try to keep some of his safety and security in tact.]

That doesn't make you a pansy.

[introspects]

Yep! It's more like a group picture of all of us together. I think that might make them happy, rather than just...a picture of them and not the rest of us.

[elepe]

[That smirk just broadens when he does that. She's so happy she doesn't have to pretend to be decent.]

Hmph! Then again, I did not expect much out of you, either. I suppose, in one regard...that makes us even.

[elepe]

I...did not mean that seriously, sweet Orihime. But that is a possibility, I suppose? Not a very likely one--he does not strike me as the sort...I believe.

Silver's drunk. Maybe he won't remember this conversation later.]

The only thing I'm afraid of is heights. I'm not... I don't mind having everyone's eyes on me or I wouldn't be King. But that... It was nothing like anything I've ever experienced. Even with my subjects hating me and wanting me dead, it felt nothing like it did in that trial.

[He twirls the useless sword to give his hands something to do and something to focus on, because he can't look at Silver. Admitting it makes him feel small and weak. He isn't.]

You really shouldn't underestimate me!

[Lusamine still doesn't look at Elda, but she nods her head.]

I suppose you have a point. We would have weeded all of the hideous people out within the first few weeks, if that were the case.

[...it's strange to think about. And really, she almost doesn't want to. This is more than she thought she would ever have to deal with in her life.]
