WEEK 6 With the deaths of Viktor Nikiforov, Varric Tethras, and Killia, you're down to half of your original number. There's only fifteen of you left. How much longer before your number drops again? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, that doesn't mean that you've gained nothing else among the many, many losses you've faced; it seems that another floor has been made available to you for surviving another week. Congratulations and well done, even if you might not necessarily appreciate the reward. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 15

[Once again, the Wordsmith's voice rings out in the early afternoon with the same familiar line:]

Gather in the foyer in ten minutes.

[And yet again, regardless of whether or not the dwindling number of Apprentices does as asked, he continues all the same.]

I have another offer for you this week, Apprentices—a very simple and straightforward one. I am willing to bend Rule Seven once and once only: any Apprentice who successfully evades accountability for their actions may not only leave the university, but leave it with one other. Should the requested Apprentice be among the dead then arrangements will be made to change that and allow them to accompany the guilty party regardless.

All of you already know what you must do to claim this, so I will spare us all the incessant repetition.

[Normally this is where Jasper would shout about how the Wordsmith is wasting their time, but instead she stands in silence.

One other, huh?

Her gaze wanders towards the profiles before she turns and walks away without a word.]

[ Leave with one other? And he can revive the dead? That... raises a few more questions, but Elda's eyes are very clouded, glancing to several people who might be in the room as she sort of taps her fingernails on each other. This one doesn't have a witty response from her, but she's curious what the others might say.

In all honesty her seriousness probably looks a little silly what with the somewhat too big on her maid outfit she has on ]

Or we could just wait until we get a shot at him, mug him for whatever he's using for this, bring back everyone but Kira and leave the Wordsmith to bleed out in a ditch somewhere.

[ Now, Mikazuki had been put into a really shitty mood at this motive... and then he just -- he hears that, and he actually just laughs. ]

My, my... even I didn't think of that. I wonder if he would expect us to actually try "mugging" him like that.

...well, probably, given that one rule about how we can't hit him unless he gives us permission.

But you can beat down anyone with the right tactics, right.

[There's really no mistaking the first person to come to mind in this case, and there are a lot of ways that Silver wants to respond to this. Anger, lashing out, or maybe nothing at all. And it seems like he's going to be furious for a moment; he's shaking a little, his fists are clenched up tightly enough that they would hurt without the gloves, but the only thing he can manage to get out is laughter, and once it's clear that he isn't really going to stop for a while he ducks out to head back to his room.]

[...Oh.

Oh, this is definitely a different motive than what Lusamine was expecting to hear about. She's never been among the ones to shout the Wordsmith out, but even this time...she doesn't know what to say to this.

So. She's outta there, as soon as she possibly can.]

[ ... Mikazuki listens to the motive come and go, and for awhile, he'll be standing there, calmly sipping at his tea. For a good while, though, he also doesn't look at anyone, but he doesn't leave readily easily either.

... Despite how calm he appears though, he is displeased. ]
