WEEK 6 With the deaths of Viktor Nikiforov, Varric Tethras, and Killia, you're down to half of your original number. There's only fifteen of you left. How much longer before your number drops again? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, that doesn't mean that you've gained nothing else among the many, many losses you've faced; it seems that another floor has been made available to you for surviving another week. Congratulations and well done, even if you might not necessarily appreciate the reward. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 15

[She probably needs it since she's been working over the stove all day.

So she takes a sip.]

Oh, it's rather delicious. It's bitter, but there's a nice, creamy sweetness to it.

[ravagers]

I agree! I like putting milk in my tea--it helps it taste a lot less bitter, if you want some, too.

[firstaid]

A little bit of milk would be nice. Thank you.

[ravagers]

You're welcome!

[ She fetches the milk and adds some to Estelle's cup, then her own. ]

So, what're you making?

[firstaid]

It's curry. I'm making curry.

[There's a few bowls of curry actually made, but Estelle's pushed them off to the side. They each look slightly different, like they didn't have enough of one ingredient or had too much of another.]

I tried making some, and while they taste good, they're not quite right.

[ravagers]

Oh, like that stuff I got out of the vending machine once!

[ It'd been pretty good, so surely Estelle's will be even better. Vanille points to one of the bowls. ]

Mind if I try some?

[firstaid]

Yes, you may!

[After all, the only reason she hadn't thrown them away is because they were still good to eat. That would be quite a waste.]'

Perhaps you could help me figure out what's missing from them as a result.

[ravagers]

[ She nods and picks up one of the bowls. She makes sure to get a little bit of everything in the spoonful she takes, and she takes a bite. ]

Hmmm... it's good, but you're right. Something's missing... let's see... [ Another bite. ] Maybe a little touch of sweetness?

[firstaid]

[Estelle nods at those words.]

Yes, it does need something to add to that sweetness. Perhaps more nutmeg.

[So add a little more of that is a go. She'll hope she'll get closer to the right taste this time.]

[ravagers]

Oh, that'd be good! I didn't know what nutmeg was before coming here, but I know I was seriously missing out!

[firstaid]

It's a rather useful spice. It adds flavor when something needs to be more sweet, but it acts differently than sugar. I'm rather fond of it myself.

[Then again, she does like sweet things in general.]

[ravagers]

Yeah, I like it a lot, too! [ She thinks for a moment. ] Do you think it'd be good in hot cocoa?

[firstaid]

I think it would be. It would add a little spice, but it would also taste really good.

[ravagers]

I'll have to try it out later! And make you a cup, too!

[firstaid]

[She giggles.]

I would really like that.

[ravagers]

I'll make one for you soon, then! Extra special, with lots of yummy stuff added!

[firstaid]

If I get this curry right, I'll be sure to make you some. We can have hot chocolate with this.

[ravagers]

Oh, that sounds wonderful! And-- [ she's getting an idea! ] --we could read our favorite stories to each other, too, while having curry and cocoa!

[firstaid]

I would like that. Stories would be a fun thing to focus on again.

[She's been having a rough time focusing on books lately.]

[ravagers]

Then we've definitely got to do it! When shall we do it?

[firstaid]

Possibly tomorrow or the next day. I think as time goes on I'll... feel better.

[ravagers]

You just let me know, okay? [ With an almost teasing smile: ] I'm sure I can make time for you easily enough.

[firstaid]

Perhaps Wednesday or Thursday, then? I would really like that if you could!

[She doesn't get the teasing. Instead, she appreciates it.]

[ravagers]

How about Thursday!

[firstaid]

Thursday would be great. Let's plan on that.
