With the deaths of Viktor Nikiforov, Varric Tethras, and Killia, you're down to half of your original number. There's only fifteen of you left.

How much longer before your number drops again?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Of course, that doesn't mean that you've gained nothing else among the many, many losses you've faced; it seems that another floor has been made available to you for surviving another week.

Congratulations and well done, even if you might not necessarily appreciate the reward.

Technically, I'm beginning to suspect he did but he simply neutered my senses. There's no way that Lusamine or that Bruce Wayne man wouldn't cause me to go alight.

[ She has no idea why he would do that... or how. But... ]

...are you kidding me? Why would he even bother with something like that? That's just kind of weird and petty. I mean, unless you'd automatically be able to sniff out the killer, I guess.

[ She thinks over the last several cases... With Kyrie... maybe. Not really though, not in a concrete way. With Alani, certainly not. Nor Gold. But then with Kira or Killia... hmm. ]

Not so specifically, but it- may have helped, in one or two cases.

[ She never thought of it from this angle. ] A vampire's blood affinity points them in the direction of a human whose emotions and self most align with our tastes. In my case, world weary maturity is at the heart my blood affinity.

...oh, okay. Yeah, makes sense. I guess if you've got a better idea of someone's character, you might know when you should suspect them or not, or something.

Still sucks, though.

Right, though? I mean, come on, he let Killia and Bloodtears McSkullthrone have his weird alter ego transformation thing. That's gotta count for something.

Exactly! That was my first thought when I saw that it happened!

I don't know, I guess it's just more of a visual effect than anything.

And why can it change his clothes?! How does that even make sense?!

I don't know, maybe he's a magical girl or something?
