WEEK 6.
With the deaths of Viktor Nikiforov, Varric Tethras, and Killia, you're down to half of your original number. There's only fifteen of you left. How much longer before your number drops again? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, that doesn't mean that you've gained nothing else among the many, many losses you've faced; it seems that another floor has been made available to you for surviving another week. Congratulations and well done, even if you might not necessarily appreciate the reward. |

You can't protect anyone if you're dead, Elda. And Hanyuu's a lot stronger than you give her credit for. She'll persevere. She's stayed strong through so much already. She's stayed the kind person she is. Even if it tears her down, she'll pull herself back up again. And she won't be alone, either. She has many people who love her and want to protect her.
[He taps the cuestick in his hand a couple of times; it's nice to finally be able to hold it with his left hand again.]
But this isn't just about her, either. This is about my feelings, too. I'm a selfish person, Elda. I've done nothing but act on my own emotions this entire time, and I'm not about to stop now.
I care about you. I care about you a lot. I shouldn't be allowed to express that after what I did, but I don't care. If you're going to do something that could lead to your death, then I'll stop you, even if I have to beat you up and get Hanyuu to keep an eye on you for the rest of the week. Understand?

Elda believes in Hanyuu, so she believes in that. But on the other hand- In truth, it's not about despair in her mind, it never was. It was about that moment, that moment where she would have to-

[ It's a very Elda Marker thing to say, but she doesn't say it in a very Elda Marker way. It's just... light. Light, weightless, almost aimless. ]
And I won't promise I will take no action. [ . . . ] But if you're going to be selfish, allow me to be selfish in turn.

[For all his talk, he does still understand the position he's in. He messed up. He hurt everyone he claims to care about. He has no right to assume they'd feel the same way, let alone call them something as important as family.]
