WEEK 6.
With the deaths of Viktor Nikiforov, Varric Tethras, and Killia, you're down to half of your original number. There's only fifteen of you left. How much longer before your number drops again? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, that doesn't mean that you've gained nothing else among the many, many losses you've faced; it seems that another floor has been made available to you for surviving another week. Congratulations and well done, even if you might not necessarily appreciate the reward. |

[OOC: Welcome to week six of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]

Was?
[She referred to him in the present tense to start with, so maybe it's just a slip of the tongue, but... well, he's very used to loved ones dying, so uh.]
no subject
It's like somehow, she learned about this longer ago than she did, back in that first week here.. ]
... He died, in his sleep. Like I said, he never ate enough.
no subject
[And for a moment it seems like that might be all he has to say, but he forces himself to try to continue.]
I'm sorry to hear that.
[It's awkward, but it's not like he's just saying it. Elda loves her family more than anything, so it's understandable that she'd be bothered by this. Gangrel's just supremely bad at knowing what to say.]
no subject
In spite of everything, Elda's smiling, looking at the pile of things she's going to burn. She dusts a class over one of the dolls. The doll itself isn't important, it's just something to operationally give her hands something to do. ]
Thank you. [ Sincerely, even. ] That old fool gave me nearly two hundred years of happiness, not to mention a splendid family. That life we had together I'll always treasure.
[ It's too sentimental to say to Gangrel, of course, but... Well. She can't not say anything. ]
no subject
It may be out of line to say it, but you sound like you're handling this well. Better than I thought you would, anyway.
[GANGREL]

no subject
[ Even though it hurts.
A lot.
At least she can no longer taste his lips. She doesn't know if that's a good or bad thing. ]
no subject
Apologies, then. Believe it or not, I truly didn't mean to insult you.
[It's serious, for once.]
I've only cared about a few people in my life and after I lost them I refused to care about anyone else ever again. As I'm sure you can tell, that hasn't been going very well.
[Which is Gangrel-speak for "I'M REALLY BAD AT THIS".]
no subject
[ She actually laughs a little at that, focusing on his face! And... ] Or at least, no more than you ever do. Probably even less.
[ . . . ]
I lost a lot in my early life - James... was the one who allowed me to be able to love other things, and to make sure I wasn't alone. It's altogether more pleasant to try to think of it that way.
no subject
[And it's kind of weird to think about, but maybe he wouldn't have turned out so bitter and jaded if he'd found someone important to him like that. If he'd tried for even a moment to let anyone in again—
Ah, but then again, there was Aversa.
He shakes his head after a moment and the usual smirk reappears.]
It's good that you know me so well, I suppose!
no subject
[ Though, she suspects, some others will have known him better. Lusamine, perhaps. Or at least she hopes some others do. ]
no subject
[Not that he can't admire the dedication and effort that it requires, but it's not his style.]
no subject
It's true, it's true! It is altogether more easy to be straightforward if it can be helped, even for the rest of us.
no subject
[JUST BE AGGRESSIVELY EVIL, JUST DO IT]
no subject
There's some truth in that, yeah! Doesn't mean you can't change a little, I guess, but you might as well go full blast!
