WEEK 6 With the deaths of Viktor Nikiforov, Varric Tethras, and Killia, you're down to half of your original number. There's only fifteen of you left. How much longer before your number drops again? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, that doesn't mean that you've gained nothing else among the many, many losses you've faced; it seems that another floor has been made available to you for surviving another week. That... makes sense.

We can eat, if we choose to, but our physical forms don't need the nutrients that comes from food.

...If I may ask, do you taste it? The food?

[iaspis]

Yes, it all tastes so good. But it's a little weird, the feeling of it... sitting inside of me.

But it's not unpleasant, just strange.

[oyashiromama]

Aah... If your body wasn't made for it, I'd imagine it would. What do you receive nutrients from, then? For the Ryuun, it was mostly our...aah, a kind of energy, apparently? I took a human form very early on, so I never really had to understand it.

[iaspis]

Nothing. My physical form isn't my real body, this is.

[She points to her gem nose.]

[...Oh, wow-]

Just...just the gem? ...Oh, the name of your species, it makes more sense now...

[iaspis]

Yes. The body you see is a projection with mass.

I can't entirely choose how I look, however. I could change my hair, my clothes, but not anything major about my appearance.

[oyashiromama]

Oh...! [...You know, Hanyuu actually looks a little surprised but excited about that-] You can't do that here, can you? I'd imagine not, because- well, that's what I could do, as a spirit, sort of...except mostly about the age I presented as.

[iaspis]

I.. think I could do that? But it wouldn't be permanent. Some Gems can "stretch" themselves, or "squish" themselves, but it's taxing, and doing it for too long can lead to injury.

[oyashiromama]

Oh...! Oh, well, I only did it when I hadn't a physical body, so...that makes sense, changing your appearance causing some kind of lasting damage, if done wrong.

[iaspis]

That would make sense.

Physical bodies would make things more difficult. It's amazing to see how resilient the humans are.

[oyashiromama]

...It is, truly. Thought they lack the same strengths as other creatures, they...they keep on fighting, despite the odds. It's admirable.

[iaspis]

...I hope they're strong enough to overcome this. In some ways, they're stronger that Gems.

[oyashiromama]

And than the Ryuun. [...never mind that hanyuu's the only one of those left-] Continuing on, when they're so fragile.

[iaspis]

Their bodies may be fragile, but if I've learned anything, it's that their spirits are strong. It's incredible to watch.
