Week 4.

WEEK 4 And as the third week in the Vault comes to a close and the fourth week begins, the Survivors are once again down by two. Mion Sonozaki died on her own terms, and Yato died fulfilling his duty as God of Fortune in the best way that he knew how; the shrine built in the game room on Saturday stands in their memory. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fourth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; even if the Kingmaker sounded a bit unhappy with you last weekend, the fact remains that you're still doing what you seem to have been brought here to do. If you drink too much you're going to either throw up or pass out.

[Cherryblod had a feeling some people would be drinking the pain away. He only took a glance himself, but... ugh.

He was really hoping one of those people wouldn't be Yosuke.]

Doubt the Kingmaker distinguishes between sleep and drinking yourself to unconsciousness either.

[...He takes a seat next to him at the bar.]

Whatever.

[He hasn't had enough time to get legit drunk yet, just buzzed, but not from lack of trying. Odds are he wouldn't even manage it- he's not a big guy, and with how fast he's going he will likely just pass right out once it hits- just like Cherryblod suggested.]

Possibly dying for your alcohol is not 'whatever', young man. Either slow down or stop.

No. I wanna go back to sleep. I'll... make it to my room.

[He hasn't even EATTEN yet he'll be lucky if he doesn't throw up, honestly]

You haven't had breakfast. At this rate I can't rely on you getting down the stairs without assistance.

Do I have to carry you down? I can, you know.

[garudynamic]

You think if I fell down the stairs we'd have to have a trial?

[He'd sound amused if he didn't sound so goddamned mean right now]

I think if you fell down the stairs I would be grieving for the next hundred years, so don't.

[A bit more sharply than usual.]

...sorry.

[He puts his head down]

This tastes awful.

[cherryblooded]

It never really gets better. You just get used to it.

[Cherryblod sighs, and takes advantage of Yosuke's head being down to get his arms under Yosuke's legs and - yeah he's being princess carried right now, that's a thing.]

Downstairs you go.

Goddamnit, I'm not done!

[He can still form coherent thoughts!! Do not want!]

[cherryblooded]

Done now.

[He's heading for the door.]

I know what I'm doing, put me down you bastard!

[He squirms, but he's tired and his limbs feel floppy and moving is making him dizzy]

No.

[Out the door, down the hallway. If anyone sees them like this, he really doesn't care.]

[garudynamic]

[He wants to fight, but he kinda wants to hurl too. There's nothing in him but bile- he feels like it's in his heart too, wanting to come out. But the swaying motion of Cherry walking makes him too queasy to do anything about it other then mumble hatefully to himself]

[cherryblooded]

[Cherryblod's not going to engage with him on any of that mumbling - if he wants to yell at him, he can do that.

...If he's going to throw up on him, he can do that too, they have showers and a working laundry room. It's better than him exploding to death.

Down the stairs to the third floor.]

He's my age Cherry.

[Mion was too. But he hadn't almost stepped in her]

I know that. But nothing will be helped by you risking death to have a drink.

[Second floor.]

[garudynamic]

...I didn't think that far ahead.

[cherryblooded]

I know.

Once we get back to your room, you can have a nice, long nap.

[First floor, headed toward the dorm rooms.]

[garudynamic]

I was supposed to fix the shrine.

[cherryblooded]

Bruce is cleaning up. You'll have a chance later.

May I borrow your room key? Or else you can use my room, it doesn't matter much.

[Since both of theirs are on the near side of the dorm hallway, right across from each other.]

[garudynamic]

S'in my pocket.

[Oh man... he's really not feeling good now]

[cherryblooded]

Alright. - I don't think I can get it out of there without putting you down.

[It's kind of hard to grab something from somebody's pocket while carrying them, so when they reach Yosuke's room, Cherryblod just kind of... sets Yosuke down on his feet in front of the doorway, though he's still supporting him in case he should start to fall over.]

[And he almost does too, his legs going jelly. He grabs the doorframe to steady himself as well. It had only been a half hour, forty minutes or so.... even for someone his size and tolerance this is fast. Thank not eating for almost 24 hours and everything hitting his belly and then blood like a sledgehammer]


...fuck.

[Luckily, between the doorframe and Cherryblod supporting him he's probably not going to actually fall over and hit his head on the hard floor.]

That's what drinking on an empty stomach does.
