WEEK 4 And as the third week in the Vault comes to a close and the fourth week begins, the Survivors are once again down by two. Mion Sonozaki died on her own terms, and Yato died fulfilling his duty as God of Fortune in the best way that he knew how; the shrine built in the game room on Saturday stands in their memory. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fourth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; even if the Kingmaker sounded a bit unhappy with you last weekend, the fact remains that you're still doing what you seem to have been brought here to do. He has an entire game for us that if one of us gets away with murder, they get to go free. I don't think it's too much work, but you'd definitely be able to see traces of places where everything was.

[He makes a vague gesture at the ceiling, not even looking up from where his face is nestled in the elbow of his other arm]

The stairs. There's no way they could come from the ceiling. There's no panel, no seam, nothing. The walls and ceiling don't have a seam either.

If what Black-kun said about the Kingmaker possibly having psychic abilities is correct then maybe that was what happened.

Should I... ask him about that next time? I can't say I'll get anything out of him, but we're pretty chummy, so. I can try.

...actually, see if you can get him to give us something crazy. Something there's no way he could get normally. That'd prove he can just make stuff.

Definitely shouldn't. The moment we start getting paranoid is the moment that we start falling apart, and I would feel so bad for whoever tries to keep us together.

Well, I'm not surprised. As far as I'm concerned he's just a guy with good intentions and a poorly executed plan with them. I don't treat him any different than I treat any of you.

There are trolls, little ones, that like hiding out in places and stalks humans to learn their patterns. Or so it's said. Maybe there's something like that here that lives in the darkness.

I would've sniffed it out by now. And he's told me there's no need to worry about the Illness here. I mean, it's still his word and all, but there's some pretty definite signs if someone's infected.
