Week 4.
And as the third week in the Vault comes to a close and the fourth week begins, the Survivors are once again down by two. Mion Sonozaki died on her own terms, and Yato died fulfilling his duty as God of Fortune in the best way that he knew how; the shrine built in the game room on Saturday stands in their memory. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fourth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; even if the Kingmaker sounded a bit unhappy with you last weekend, the fact remains that you're still doing what you seem to have been brought here to do. SURVIVORS REMAINING: 20 |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!
The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]

[Mouri kinda knows but he isn't really going to offer his services because he's not that confident about his art skills]

[Mouri approaches to take a closer look at the stuffed animals representing their dead comrades. Well they could certainly be better, but...]
When you return why don't you try to sell stuffed toys? You could make some money with that.

[ Enough for him to rent an apartment in what used to be New York City as well cover his sister's hospital expenses, at least. ]
I'd probably just make them for my sister for her to have whenever I visit, or maybe some of the kids that stick around for longer than they're supposed to. They won't make fun of me for this sort of thing--my sister might, but she'd like one, I think. [ ... ] She'd be a golden retriever, just like the one we used to have. Definitely.

[No wonder Yosuke gets along with you, superficially you are this Vault's Kanji, just without the overbearing delinquent facade]

...anyway. ] Thank you though.

[Who is this girl who would be a golden retriever, Black? Say it]

White's incredible--she's always been that way. Strong-willed, ruthless, not afraid to speak her mind... She beat up guys when we were kids, but it's not like she went out of her way to find confrontation. It just... happened.
[ while protecting him. ]
She's always been ahead of me, too... except in grades--we were pretty evenly matched, usually. But she always knew what she wanted to do, even if that thing changed by the week, and she'd go at it with such gusto. Even nowadays she hasn't let up on a few ideas [ like leaving, or the stars ] and it's really wonderful. She looks just like a golden retriever--blonde hair just like me but it's really long and in twintails--and she's smart, too.
[ he's quiet for a moment, playing with his hands, before he sighs. ]
I really miss her.

She sounds like the type of person more people should strive to be like. You should present her to everyone once we're out of here, I'm sure many would be glad to meet somebody like her.
[Mouri is actually kind of serious about that. It'd be good to have someone like White as one of the first people to meet once they all are out]
I'm sure she is okay. From what you just said it sounds to me White is more than capable to defend herself. She is out there, waiting to hear from you. Be strong for your sister, Black-kun.

But Mouri's words unsettle him a little, because he realizes he's wasting time here, and she's--not here, and not safe. It's hard. ]
I will. [ ...what else can he say? And he has to be, for her and for himself. He's been strong the past three years, he's going to continue to be that, he-- ] I think she'd really like to meet everyone too, actually. She doesn't get to meet a lot of new people anymore--though she introduced me to a friend she made in the hospital recently. Or... not recently? I'm not really sure; I dreamt about it recently, or remembered it, or however that works. He seems nice enough.

[Sudden concern because Mouri may have been spouting stuff he shouldn't have]

[ She must be worried sick, if she isn't dead. ]
Do you have any siblings, Detective?
no subject
[A shrug]
I was kind of a handful when I was young, maybe it's good there wasn't another child to deal with.
no subject
That seems to be a trend. Mr. Cherryblod's an only child too, and he was apparently pretty wild when he was younger.
no subject
[Are we talking about the same shrimp man, Black? Because Mouri seems to think you are not]
no subject
I don't know the details, but yeah. I couldn't believe it either.
no subject
[What kind of crazy world is this?!]
Wait, who told you that?

[This changes...! ...absolutely nothing]
I'll have a hard time looking at him the same way. That is amazing!
I'll have to ask him for more details at some point.
[Not that Cherryblod will ever tell Mouri the extent of his problematic behavior, ahem, former mob member and what not]
