Week 4.
And as the third week in the Vault comes to a close and the fourth week begins, the Survivors are once again down by two. Mion Sonozaki died on her own terms, and Yato died fulfilling his duty as God of Fortune in the best way that he knew how; the shrine built in the game room on Saturday stands in their memory. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fourth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; even if the Kingmaker sounded a bit unhappy with you last weekend, the fact remains that you're still doing what you seem to have been brought here to do. SURVIVORS REMAINING: 20 |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!
The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]

So I'll get rid of that thing?
[Duh?]

[Like, she's sure she knows why it was put up, because he definitely mentioned something sometime about it, but it is not coming to her.]
Who put it there?
no subject
[Just...ugh.]
...It requires seven human souls to break it entirely. King Asgore has six of them. War has already been declared against humanity - as soon as he has a seventh, he's going to break the Barrier and destroy them.
It's not something I'm interested in seeing happen.
no subject
So... If Sigrun helped that cause, she'd be pretty dead either way. By way of being a seventh soul or... well... monsters. No one Mettaton had been so quick.]
Oh.
[... She's gonna lean against him. Maybe physical contact only works for humans, but, yes.]
Okay. We'll just survive and see what the world's like here or go back to my place. Doesn't matter to me. Not really looking forward to dying myself.
no subject
[And he seems genuinely relieved by that, actually; as for the physical contact, he...doesn't seem to mind it at all? He's at least seen enough to know how this is supposed to work. Arm around her waist? Arm around her waist.]
Who knows, maybe this place will be enough of an improvement to warrant staying.
no subject
Mind keeping a secret for me, honey?

[She pauses her music too, even if her fingers itch to return to it.]
I just can't see it the same way. Maybe that's because of where I'm from, and maybe there really is something nice out there he's making us play for, kill each other 'til there's just one left, but... He's not that bad of a guy. A stubborn ass and probably lying now and then, sure, but he's only human. I just think he's got some good intentions and sucks majorly at talking to others.
So maybe we're being kept in here for our own protection, you know? Just a thought. I miss seeing everything outside and I'd still like to show you all of it too, but there could be a reason we're not given any info for what it's like out there. I hear it's like that for Iceland back home too.
[The total opposite of Dalsnes: In Iceland, no one knows shit about what's happening in the outside world if they're a normie.]

[He doesn't sound convinced, admittedly. But - ]
I won't tell anyone, though. It's none of their business, anyway.
no subject
[They've, uh. They've gotten rid of pretty much all of those one way or another.]
I won't defend that ass or anything though. As far as I'm concerned, he deserves every enemy he's made so far.
no subject
[So. There's that.]
I'm not even going to say "Maybe it's because of where I'm from." I know it is. But I've been brought from an enclosed space where we kill each other for someone's entertainment to...well, an enclosed space where we kill each other for someone's entertainment. It's not that bad if you just settle down and don't get upset about the situation we're starting from. People can get used to it.
no subject
I could probably get used to this. I mean, we're not lacking on pretty much anything, every time someone snaps and kills someone else they understand the consequences and we get a new floor. I really like this shooting gallery we've got now.
[...]
You don't think we're gonna get anything for Goggle's explosion, do you? I mean, besides that bit I don't think KM's that big of a bad guy, but he did warn us about sleeping outside.
no subject
[He's quiet for a moment though.]
I've got a question for you, sweetheart.
no subject
[It can't be too bad. Maybe.]

It'd... be random. Could've happened to anyone. Death's just death.
[It's all matter-of-factly said, like she's trying really hard to convince herself, but Sigrun groans after she's said it and pulls at the stupid muffler, letting the lyre slip out of her lap and onto the ground.]
I would've hated him if he did! I hate you for asking me that! [She scowls at him, gripping the muffler.] I mean, isn't that natural? If someone that's important to you is picked off then you're angry and you hate the thing that did it!
[But-- if he's bad or not still.]
I-- I guess he still wouldn't be bad, since he did say he would do that, but it's not like I'd have any love for him. A bad person's someone who betrays others or leaves them for dead without even trying. To me, I mean. Who only think about themselves!
no subject
...Sorry.
[...Well, that's a start.]
It's not the first time I've asked someone unfair questions. Sorry about that, darling, I won't...
[...do that again, though that's not really something he can promise, is it, so he'll just. Kind of leave it there.]
no subject
Don't apologize. [She's firm, but soft.] I get why you asked and I don't actually hate you. Just your stupid question. Good and bad's different for everyone, and... you're good, you know. Just so you know.
[He's good, even if he thinks only about himself (except he doesn't, he thinks himself the most important person in the world and he still would've put his life down to protect the handful he likes) and abandoned someone (for his own dream, which is fine, it's not a situation based in life or death).]
Ask all the unfair questions you want. Just don't be surprised when I get up in arms about it if it matters to me.
no subject
But he'll get over himself eventually, even if he's not very interested in trying to emotions this out today because there have been a lot of feelings all around since the weekend.]
You're being really sweet today.
no subject
I'd break my hand if I hit you, [as she plucks notes,] you just had someone yelling at you like, the other day, and it's just the truth. Don't get any big ideas about it.
