WEEK 4 And as the third week in the Vault comes to a close and the fourth week begins, the Survivors are once again down by two. Mion Sonozaki died on her own terms, and Yato died fulfilling his duty as God of Fortune in the best way that he knew how; the shrine built in the game room on Saturday stands in their memory. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fourth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; even if the Kingmaker sounded a bit unhappy with you last weekend, the fact remains that you're still doing what you seem to have been brought here to do. [Yosuke Hanamura, master of tact. But it's true- Mouri looks miserable.]

Sorry this took so long... this week's been hard. But I wanted to say thanks.

[Mouri bangs his forehead against the counter. He looks awful, huh. Well that's no surprise]

[Yeah, Mouri is not really wanting to string a lot of words right now, apparently. Too busy locking himself in his own self-pity]

[He goes behind the counter, rummaging around until he finds the fridge for the cold mixes, pulling out some OJ. Look man, he knows better then to drink in front of the detective]

Half of us didn't even notice the metal at all, let alone that it was from a pen. It's was pretty embarrassing.

[Cherryblod has yet to come around to give some much needed incentive, so he still doesn't believe that was useful]

I'm sure somebody else would have noticed sooner or later. What I did was just a moment of inspiration, nothing more.

[He shrugs, pouring his drink]

[He doesn't realize that Mouri is down on his skills- honestly this place is awful enough he assumes he could be drinking to the general awfulness]

I definitely didn't notice it... and I SAW that Yato was mean-mugging you. I didn't even notice it was at the PEN though, not you.

I noticed it too. For a moment I even thought he was going to try to accuse me.

Besides it isn't like the pen was vital evidence. It did lead to finding the key, but that was more of a coincidence. The pen was mostly a minor detail.

[he sits, sipping his drink. He's not really the best at cheering people up, but after his own issues this week he feels he should *try*]

Even if it was small we all did our part.

We're doing better than I thought we would. Despite everything we have managed to hold on.

[Except for those who have killed and been killed, but Mouri won't mention that]

I'm sure even if I can't do anything everyone will be fine. You have Bruce-san, you have Lynne-san...and that is enough.

[Yeah, if it weren't for the efforts of some people Mouri wouldn't have even tried to be at future investigations]

[He pokes Mouri in the shoulder]

[Well that got Mouri to snap out of his funk for a moment]

No kidding. I haven't forgotten your furious show back when Pearl-san died.

Sorry. I think I'm depressed right now. Usually I'm not melodramatic at all.

[Sure, maybe he was a bit louder then he should have been... but the idea of being too comfortable with all this. Too calm... it goes against his very nature]

And yeah man, no one can blame you for being depressed.

You seem to be holding better than before. No more breakdowns or looking like you'd punch someone, that is good.
