Week 4.
And as the third week in the Vault comes to a close and the fourth week begins, the Survivors are once again down by two. Mion Sonozaki died on her own terms, and Yato died fulfilling his duty as God of Fortune in the best way that he knew how; the shrine built in the game room on Saturday stands in their memory. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fourth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; even if the Kingmaker sounded a bit unhappy with you last weekend, the fact remains that you're still doing what you seem to have been brought here to do. SURVIVORS REMAINING: 20 |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!
The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]

Violence sells, baby. So I can hold my own against whatever her world throws at me.

[Hahahaha, the things you don't know, Mouri]

[WELL, THIS IS...NEWS...]
But that's so boring! Where's the excitement in knowing that everything is scripted?

[Mouri finishes his drink and makes grand gestures]
I could fight the Kinkyling Colress-san has and make it look as flashy as possible, and when it's all over it is as if nothing happened.
That is entertainment.

[...He is apparently an advocate for the method acting from hell.]

[There comes a deduction! Yeah, he is drunk and currently feeling like a garbage detective, but that won't stop him]
You are saying you like to do improvisations!
[Yaaaaay]
Because they don't need scripts.
no subject
Yes. Yes, that is exactly it!
[YOU DID IT, YOU CRACKED THE CODE fuck our lives it's very fortunate that you're drunk right now]
no subject
...
[Mouri smashes his forehead against the counter]
...you know what, nevermind. Just...forget I said anything.

...Sweetheart. Listen to me for a second, all right?
Whatever information you got...it probably isn't the whole story. It might not even be an accurate story! My envelope looked like blatant lies, too, and I know we're not the only ones.
It's probably just to make us doubt ourselves right now - that's what he wants, right? So I promise, it'll be okay.

[Mouri doesn't lift his head but at least rolls it to a side]
I know I shouldn't let it bother me but I can't avoid it. I know you are right.
...I'm wondering what could be in yours. You don't let anything bother you, even if it told you something world-changing you wouldn't even be fazed by that.
no subject
Maybe someday I'll tell you! Assuming everything works out like that.
no subject
...do you trust me enough to tell me something like that once this is all over?
no subject
[And that much is prompt, actually.]
Even if I didn't, by that point, it's all going to be over but the crying, right? We'll go our separate ways and that will be it, and even if it was something terrible, it's not like you'd have a reason to kill me over it.
But that doesn't really matter, because really? Of course I do.

[Somehow that is comforting. How things have changed in four weeks. He is never going to say it aloud, but Mouri is kind of glad the incident with the rushed deduction back in the second day of stay is forgotten...
...or at least forgiven]
Thank you. I'm glad to hear that.
