Week 4.
And as the third week in the Vault comes to a close and the fourth week begins, the Survivors are once again down by two. Mion Sonozaki died on her own terms, and Yato died fulfilling his duty as God of Fortune in the best way that he knew how; the shrine built in the game room on Saturday stands in their memory. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fourth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; even if the Kingmaker sounded a bit unhappy with you last weekend, the fact remains that you're still doing what you seem to have been brought here to do. SURVIVORS REMAINING: 20 |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

[what the actual fuck is a beyondian]
Monsters of some sort, I'm assuming.

But they're... not human, yes. They're what populates the Alterworld, a world parallel to the one I come from. I won't bore you with the detail, but the long story short is that they're the majority of the population after what happened three years ago, and as a result their culture's sort of taken over the rest of the city.
I don't mind--I think they're interesting, and I work with a few that're the equivalent to our world's Casters--but a lot of people do. Especially big franchises that used to be popular; most of them moved out as soon as they realized the new populace was here to stay, and a lot of Beyondian eateries popped up in their place.
[ ...so. ]

Monsters are just nonhuman people, darling. At least where I'm from! There's nothing bad meant by it, anyway - after all, I'm one myself, and so is my creator and everyone else I know.
[...seriously, people here like to tell him not to talk like that sometimes? It's very confusing.]
I'm not surprised relations between them and humans isn't the greatest, though. That...tends to happen? At least one person I know seems to think that it's going to happen when we leave the Underground, too.

...it has poorer connotations back in his world but he's not gonna sweat it if Mettaton's not gonna. ]
It probably will. Humans aren't the most forgiving--we even shun our own kind if they're not up to society's standards. [ It's pretty awful. ] There's more Beyondians than there are humans now, and nothing can get through the fog unless it goes by land... so humanity's stuck having to deal with it instead of getting rid of them like they'd usually try.
