WEEK 4 And as the third week in the Vault comes to a close and the fourth week begins, the Survivors are once again down by two. Mion Sonozaki died on her own terms, and Yato died fulfilling his duty as God of Fortune in the best way that he knew how; the shrine built in the game room on Saturday stands in their memory. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fourth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; even if the Kingmaker sounded a bit unhappy with you last weekend, the fact remains that you're still doing what you seem to have been brought here to do. Have you seen anyone angry or stressed or anything like that? Maybe instead of having to deal with everyone at the same time it would be better to do something about just a select few. I'm not saying to lock them in their rooms, I mean something like keeping an eye on them.

Not really, but... thinking about it, I don't really think I noticed anything off about Yato or Karen the nights before those trials, either. Yato was always pretty good at being disarming, but... would potential really do the sorts of things we'd expect them to?

...sometimes they do. It never hurts to try to stop them, but if there's no suspect then there's nothing to do.

[So let's sit around, try to sleep well and try not to be too shaken up when the victim is revealed]

At least I know I would never do something like kill somebody. I'll know everything is hopeless when I start doubting that about myself.

...honestly, I almost feel like it'd be better to try and stay inside and sleep, because at least then you don't have to worry about dying or killing someone in self-defense.

But... I hate the very idea of that. I want to do something instead of just hoping someone doesn't decide to kill.

...is it bad I have kinda given up on investigating around? The Kingmaker covered up his tracks way too well, and I haven't progressed further than a theory I have been entertaining since a few days ago.

...Honestly, I don't think I even know where to begin at this point. Have you talked to Yosuke about the stairs? They're... really bizarre. Though... I would be interested in your theory.

Hmmm...I can't stop thinking about this but...

...that dream some people said had at the beginning, back in the first day, us being called 'Survivors'...something doesn't make sense about all this.

...what if the Kingmaker wasn't the person who locked us all here?

...Apparently there's nothing about the ceiling's construction that would hint at there being floors above the one we currently have access to, really. This was true last week, and it might be true for this week?

[...yeah, he's... not going to think about that one too hard -- the stairs or Mouri's theory.]

...That's... definitely a possibility. I've never been quite certain if this was a facility the Kingmaker had constructed specifically for us or if he just hijacked it from someone else.

[...but those implications, though.]

I think the number of bedrooms show it was made for us, but don't pay much attention to me. To be honest I have been looking for any explanation, as unlikely as they can be.

I just want this to be over.
