Week 4.
And as the third week in the Vault comes to a close and the fourth week begins, the Survivors are once again down by two. Mion Sonozaki died on her own terms, and Yato died fulfilling his duty as God of Fortune in the best way that he knew how; the shrine built in the game room on Saturday stands in their memory. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not... Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fourth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; even if the Kingmaker sounded a bit unhappy with you last weekend, the fact remains that you're still doing what you seem to have been brought here to do. SURVIVORS REMAINING: 20 |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

Like... an automobile kind of vehicle? Tank or truck or whatever?

is the coolest thing.]
I'm sure I would! Could you fly really high? I mean, if that's how that worked, it sounds like a bird.

[... because that what is sounds like, yes, if you can glide using a magical key]

Are those pathways dangerous? Is that why they're forbidden?

[ She pulls out that notebook she has handy and sketches a quick picture of the glider]
The top part there is what I use as a sort of makeshift bow--I can rotate it so it's vertical instead of horizontal.
Very dangerous, yes. Without our armor, we run the risk of being corrupted by the darkness--and enemies use them to travel as well.

something else. How do you even glide with that there's no material to catch the wind.]
I won't pretend to understand how you fly with that. It looks complicated and nothing I'm going to believe anyway. [isn't her honesty just the most welcome]
What sort of enemies do you have? I mean, darkness is bad where I'm from too, trolls roam the night easily and that's when they're most active too. Anyplace the light touches is where they can't go, during the day.

My master calls them Unversed--they're emotions which have taken physical form, and they can be very dangerous. They feed off of negativity, which makes them stronger and more formidable. Even the small ones can be dangerous, and they all have different abilities, such as magic.

Her face sort of hardens at that. ]
Something like that--there is a source of it all, but even I'm not sure what came of him.
no subject
Ooooh that sounds like some personal beef.]
Then you have to get back to get rid of it, one way or another. How do you do it?
no subject
Exactly. I'm not sure how, but I did fight the one responsible. After that... I'm not sure what happened after that. I hope that was enough--that his defeat solved the issue, but I can't be certain until I return.

And you're still trying your best to take care of everyone with that on your shoulders. You're really something else, Aqua.

[ ... She's blushing a little bit at that. ]
Is it really that impressive? I've never thought of it like that.

It's only my duty. It's... [ gOSH ] They have, unfortunately. He's pretty determined.
no subject
Well, that sucks. Is he a key person like you?
no subject
He is, actually. And very formidable.

And I thought all you guys were good. So you have problem people like that too?
