Week 5.

WEEK 5

Three more have joined the deceased this past week. Taichi Yagami was punished for breaking a rule, Megumi Sakura was killed, and Norman Bates... well, the less said about Norman, the better.

A third of you are dead now; your losses are becoming more and more evident with each passing week.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. But that doesn't mean the night was uneventful - it seems something else may have brought you some newfound clarity. Or perhaps not...

Once again, that spiral staircase leads farther than you remember, clear up to a previously inaccessible fifth floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; you'll probably need the distraction after the last trial.

captainobnoxious: (28 how's it going down there)

My vacation usually includes murdering things still, but I know that's not for everyone. It definitely sounds like the kind of place you'd own though, since it sounds like it distracts people the way you do.

[Or want to do, anyway. His job and all.]

And it's in the really hot place? Not a place I'd visit myself, sorry, no business from me. I'll stick to my chilly lands.
ratingspoint: (EASY ♥ alas poor burgerpants)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-03-30 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, that's where most of our technology is nowadays - that, and the source of most of the Underground's energy. I wasn't used to it either, when I first showed up, but it's not so bad after a while.
captainobnoxious: (20 boy is that shit broken)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-30 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
[Riiight. Riiiiiiiiight.]

Juuust like Iceland. [Hotland. Iceland. Their worlds aren't so different.] Which, despite its name, isn't made of ice. It is cold though. I've visited when I was younger and it was pretty boring, not enough happening for my tastes.

[... And too many non-immunes.]

Really on top of pretty much everything I don't care about though, and it's where my current mission came from.
ratingspoint: (OH ♥ but you're all half-centaur darling)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-03-30 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
...Why would they name it that if it's not?

[...Mettaton, that is not...nearly the point - but that's apparently what he's going to focus on for the time being.]
captainobnoxious: (10 let's see.)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-30 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Because the oldworlders are stupid. I mean, there's ice around it, but it's nothing like your Waterfall.

[Sigrun, you would be so surprised to learn that it was a Norwegian who named it.]

If it were up to me, I would've called it something like... I don't know, Rock Isle. Because it's really rocky.
ratingspoint: (RECOVER ♥ it's either me or you)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-03-30 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
...It's better than anything Asgore would have named it, anyway.

[HE...HE REALLY SUCKS AT NAMES...]
captainobnoxious: (43 yeah sure)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-30 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
He would've just called it "Island", wouldn't he.
ratingspoint: (ARROGANCE ♥ that's what she said)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-03-30 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, of course he would have.

[God, don't make him laugh at something this dumb.]
captainobnoxious: (09 mmm!)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-31 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
[No way, she likes hearing his laugh, there's no way she won't try for more.]

Hotland would be Lava if it was up to him. What do you think he would've called Waterfall and the snowy place?
ratingspoint: (RELENT ♥ maybe you have half a point)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-03-31 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
..."Waterfall" is actually almost completely accurate, so he'd probably leave that one alone.

The snowy place is the only place we have forests, so it would be something to do with that, I'm sure.

[This is so dumb, Sigrun.]
captainobnoxious: (42 hooo boy)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-31 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
[This is, but she's clearly enjoying herself with the stupid snorts she has.]

At least they're easy to remember. You have your Forests, your Waterfalls, your Home, your New Home, and your Lava. [Pfft.]

If you hadn't told me it was your grand leader who'd named some of these, I would've thought a child did. It's not like "Hotland" is the most creative thing either.
ratingspoint: (ASIDE ♥ okay but enough about you)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-03-31 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
He's so terrible at it that our history books make note of it. When your written history needs to apologize for your ruler's poor naming skills...
captainobnoxious: (56 go for it)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-31 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
And yet not one of you can bear to try and change it. Now, isn't that just your faults for not trying to get a new trend going?
ratingspoint: (ARROGANCE ♥ that's what she said)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-03-31 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
At this point it's almost endearing.
captainobnoxious: (72 you ass)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-31 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
Well, can't argue there. It is pretty cute.

[Sigruuun is taking Mettaton's pencil from him though, laying down on his bed to do some sketches of her own on a new page. Bad sketches.]

Speaking of endearing things though, your creator looks like a total nerd. Have you always been so on top of the world or did her building you that box of a body do the trick?
ratingspoint: (SMUG ♥ i wanna be your left-hand man)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-03-31 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
[Not like he minds.]

Well... Personality-wise, not much has changed. I've always been like this; it's easier to express myself in the way that I want to now, so things are better. But what you see is what you get, sweetheart, I'm not all that complicated.

[...]

Detective Mouri has tried to work out what I am - or, well, what I was before all that. It's fun to watch him try, he's actually gotten pretty close.
captainobnoxious: (04 what've we got here)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-31 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah? Are you gonna tell me, or do I have to guess too?

[Does she get a free pass.]
ratingspoint: (KISS ♥ sparkle up your day!)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-03-31 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
I want to hear what you think first! But he's been trying to guess for weeks now. While I'll actually tell you at the end of it.
captainobnoxious: (28 how's it going down there)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-31 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
[Let her think while she, uh, attempts to draw.]

How sweet of you, my treasure. [Look at that Direct Translation up in there.] Let's see. Your soul's basically your battery, and you can't talk when it's not in you, but is it like that for just you or all monsters?
ratingspoint: (ARROGANCE ♥ that's what she said)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-03-31 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
[...Well, that was new, and it was Direct Translation-y as fuck but it was really cute- anyway.]

Just me! We're not like humans; monster souls don't really persist outside of their bodies, as a rule.
captainobnoxious: (20 boy is that shit broken)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-31 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
[It's usually a very cute pet name where she's from. When they get out of here, he'll be hearing it a lot more. And it'll sound nicer.]

You're soooooooo weird. You're a monster whose soul was basically taken from whatever body you had before and put into a metal casing. That doctor of yours is amazing.

Were you a fish? A mushroom? A bee? [She's naming off things that would live in wet caverns or like flowers.] Really cute?
ratingspoint: (KISS ♥ sparkle up your day!)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-03-31 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
No to all but that last one! I'll accept "really cute." And the mushrooms aren't sentient, along with most of the other plants.

[Because that's important, apparently.]

This is about as far as Mouri got.
captainobnoxious: (43 yeah sure)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-31 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
Then I'll get farther.

[Let's see... None of those things, plants aren't-- most plants aren't sentient, which is a Thing she's going to ask him about... What could he be.

Sigrun's almost a little sheepish when she speaks up again. Because there's no way the legends can match up.]

... I used to think that the dead people in the executions were draugrs. They're kind of like... How do I put it. They're people whose wills were strong enough that they dragged themselves back to their bodies after they died. I definitely could see Zagi coming back from death, after all, though to do someone's bidding is not something I liked.

Your soul thing kind of reminds me of that. Except you just dragged yourself into a different body. I guess.
ratingspoint: (REALLY ♥ heel turn one more time i s2g)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-03-31 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
[...Oh, that's...that's interesting.]

Humans where you're from have heard of things like that...? I'm actually not surprised. That's something they can do where I'm from, too. At least, if Alphys' research is true.

They call it determination. It's what makes human souls stick around after a human dies, and if it's strong enough...who knows. It's supposed to be able to bring people back to life. Alphys...did experiments with it once.

Monsters aren't usually strong enough for it. Physically. It doesn't go well if we try it.

You're actually close. I've never died, though.
captainobnoxious: (50 okay??)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-31 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
[... Wow. That's an interesting thing. And reaction. Don't mind if she just pats his cheek.]

I didn't think it'd be so close, honestly, it's just an old legend of my people. Some of the more humanoid trolls are called that now. I've heard they can still speak, but I haven't waited long enough to find out.

[She'll turn around her sketch to show him what she'd been drawing, which is honestly offensive in terms of quality. It's of him though. Probably.]

Wow. I don't know what you used to be, then.
