Take Responsibility.

And once the allotted time for investigating comes to a close, those elevator doors slide open at the end of the first-floor corridor, offering another of those fast, smooth rides down to that black void of a courtroom

Twelve out of the original twenty-seven are dead; there are four less of you present for this trial than there were last week.

That's incredibly obvious as soon as the doors slide open and the podium circle comes into view where it's encircling that dark pit in the center of the room; Norman, the King, Tarrlok, and Lynne have joined the deceased, photographs in greyscale watching the proceedings from their podiums draped in black.

Of course and as always, the Kingmaker is watching too; he waits until everyone is settled at their podiums to begin speaking, though it's still impossible to tell exactly where his voice is coming from.

"Assured and Perceiving have been taken from you. You guys are really getting excited, aren't you? Two people dead in one night... Whether the guilty party succeeds or not, though, is up to the rest of you."

Fifteen Survivors remain. However many will be down by the end of the day is up to you.

M-Misa-Misa again?!
isafraid: (Alright...)

[personal profile] isafraid 2016-04-02 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
[NOPE! it does not!]

It's a bloody awful way to get us to have a look around.
captainobnoxious: (26 hell yeah)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-04-02 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I made it for him myself after last week's trial.

[Good boy.]
ratingspoint: (KISS ♥ sparkle up your day!)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-04-02 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
And you're suggesting that Misa-darling or I killed Lynne...how, exactly?
garudynamic: (Oh shit)

[personal profile] garudynamic 2016-04-02 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm just stating fact, Misa. Calm down.
amygdalae: (you wouldn't like me when I'm angry)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-04-02 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[...yeah, Bruce can see how people can potentially make use of this information.]

Would have been helpful to know this earlier.
garudynamic: (Failblush)

[personal profile] garudynamic 2016-04-02 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[He makes a noise]

I'm not saying ANYONE did yet! Just that that's the most obvious source of the glitter! Hell for all we know Tarrlok decided to get crafty in the middle of the night.

[personal profile] happysweets 2016-04-02 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I-it's true that Misa-Misa wore a lot of glitter, but...that doesn't make her a culprit!
captainobnoxious: (19 yeah that's broken)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-04-02 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not like anyone thought to ask. Don't worry about it too much until the next time we find a body.
garudynamic: (Unhappy)

[personal profile] garudynamic 2016-04-02 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
No, it doesn't. But we gotta keep it in mind. We can't just go jumping to conclusions based off one bit of evidence.

[He learned that lesson]
captainobnoxious: (03 can't be that hard)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-04-02 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
[THAT'S RIGHT DON'T TARGET TWO OF HER FAVES HERE]

It is kind of weird he had glitter pretty much all over him. Never took him for the kind of guy to like it.
ratingspoint: (ARROGANCE ♥ that's what she said)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-04-02 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Relax, sweetheart, they're only words.

But if you think we're the most likely people to have done it, you might want to work on how. That's all. There's nothing wrong with reverse-engineering it like that, I think.
happysweets: (pic#10068744)

[personal profile] happysweets 2016-04-02 07:12 pm (UTC)(link)
That's true. Misa-Misa must look super-duper-suspicious now, though...ugh, the price you have to pay for looking fabulous!
amygdalae: (did you say that the Hulk is gray)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-04-02 07:13 pm (UTC)(link)
[...now that this is mentioned too...]

Exactly how and when did the glitter get on him? He certainly didn't have it on during the party, that much I remember.
pokexplorer: (❖ doin science)

[personal profile] pokexplorer 2016-04-02 07:13 pm (UTC)(link)
The fact that there wasn't any on Miss Lynne is also odd. That is, if we are using the single killer theory.

Since, indeed, I cannot see a reason why Tarrlok or only some of the bottles would have it.
garudynamic: (Listening)

[personal profile] garudynamic 2016-04-02 07:14 pm (UTC)(link)
[He shuffles back and forth nervously. Look man, he doesn't take confrontation well]

Well, since your rose was on your hand it'd be the easiest to cause transfer to things you picked up.

[Sorry Sigrun, he doesn't really think Mettaton did it- but he has to talk this out]

But taking off her mask could do the same thing to Misa so there's that. I'm still stumped on how Lynne actually died though- drowning is only what I'm going with cuz nothing else makes sense yet...
captainobnoxious: (20 boy is that shit broken)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-04-02 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
[... oh sigrun did a good]

Both great questions. If he ate shit carrying the bottles, then was moved around with his burny stuff, then it's possible the killer still has glitter on them if it was after he died isn't it? How much weight does that hold, do you think?
sleepingkogoro: (Default)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-04-02 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm...

The killer transferred the glitter by contact, I suppose. If there was so much glitter then the mere act of touching could transfer glitter.

That would mean Lynne-san was killed through some way that required no physical contact at all from the culprit.

...

Do you think it could be possible the culprit could have glitter on them right now?
captainobnoxious: (57 on and on and on)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-04-02 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
[-- beeeeeeeeeh]

It's like they're two separate cases entirely. Can't we just take this one at a time?
garudynamic: (Yes tell me more)

[personal profile] garudynamic 2016-04-02 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
...is there even any way to do that? Like yeah, with a weapon you could shoot someone but-

-yeah, let's do a glitter check, just to get that out of the way.
ratingspoint: (OH ♥ but you're all half-centaur darling)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-04-02 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, if we're using the single-killer theory and assume that Lynne came across the body early...why couldn't the killer have pretended they were in the same situation?

Meaning the bottles that weren't glittered up were set up by Lynne, but the others...
notjustawriter: (♟ the heat was hot)

[personal profile] notjustawriter 2016-04-02 07:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Glitter ain't easy to get off you once it's on.

I reckon it's likely.
garudynamic: (Huh?)

[personal profile] garudynamic 2016-04-02 07:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Like they were pretending to investigate together until they got the chance to attack?
ratingspoint: (KISS ♥ sparkle up your day!)

[personal profile] ratingspoint 2016-04-02 07:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly! It's called acting, darling, it's not hard.
amygdalae: in the heart of the sun (night and the storm)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-04-02 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
...its possible. We've all aware how hard it is to get it off, short of changing entirely.

[That is, if its only on the clothes. Hair and skin is another story entirely.]

And we know Mister Tarrlok didn't have any glitter on him the night before, so unless he decided to dump it on himself, the most likely scenario is that it did come from the culprit.
