Week 9.
For the first time since your stay in the Vault began, no one died this week. That doesn't mean there weren't casualties among you, however – namely, trust, interpersonal relationships, and comfort in the group dynamic as a whole. Hopefully no one else pays the price for it. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. You're safe for now – unless your dreams have told you otherwise... |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week nine of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins; don't forget to submit your memory regains! There is no activity check this week!
THIS IS THE LAST WEEK TO REDEEM COINS!
The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]
afternoon [waggles eyebrows]
From embarrassment. Maybe.
So yes, here is Sigrun. Featuring Black. Though the latter doesn't particularly like he wants to be here because of... the flirting he and Yosuke did earlier.
... What's with these cards anyway?]
Whatcha up to, lazybones?
no subject
Teaching myself to read cards. Fixing my headphones. Nothing exciting. You looking for those books?
no subject
Yup, hand 'em over buddy. What's so good about reading cards?
no subject
You can use them for like, fortune telling. Our powers back home are kinda based on that, so I was curious.
no subject
... Character sheets... Oooh, right, like Hilda's... She's gonna have to simplify this. What's necessary.]
Really? On cards? Or the fortune telling part?
no subject
Probably the fortune telling? Usually when you talk about card reading, it's tarot—the arcana all have different meanings assigned to them. [ ...powers based on the arcana sound pretty on-point with what he knows from Yosuke in the first place, too. ]
no subject
[ He makes a familiar back hand slashing motion, as if armed... then awkwardly drops his hand. Eck, too soon]
no subject
That sounds so weird, but okay. What kind of arcana am I?
[Sigrun you can't just ask that. What if he doesn't know.]
no subject
except with her, because she is the fucking picture of a Leo. ]
no subject
[that's one whole god more then last time he gave a count]
no subject
[She can fight her own shadow now, but she'd lose that battle of attrition.]
no subject
I thought there were just two?
1/2
[don't ask man]
no subject
... it's not fun. At all. You don't really fight them in the classic sense. Not your own, anyways. A Shadow... it's every awful thing you deny about yourself. Every mean, self centered thought. Every doubt. And it wears your face.
When you deny what is says: and you will- it goes berserk and tries to kill you. But you denying it also gives it power, and drains you. Usually you pass out and if you're alone that's it. You're dead. Yu fought mine off until I was able to face it.
[His voice and expression change- coy, mocking and cruel. Every
mean girl bitchasshole you grew up with. Every bastard that mocked and hurt for their own enjoyment is in that voice- but it's still very clearly Yosuke speaking]Why so panicked? I thought I was just spouting bullshit? Or maybe I really do know everything about you! Because... I am you.
[He drops the expression fast, looking like he just bit into something sour.]
It was probably the hardest thing I've ever had to do... before coming here anyways.

Sigrun can't even say she'd just accept it. It's been really, really hard to, and time had shown that what she thought was true -- that she'd be able to handle herself if a situation like Mettaton's came up again -- ended up, well. You know. Down in the pits.
If it was wearing her face, saying the things that she hasn't told anyone still alive or the Kingmaker himself, telling her how she'd go through the pain of betrayal again and again just because she wants to believe it'll be different, that the person whose happiness she would protect with her life and then some wouldn't stab her in the back the way Mettaton and Black had, that she feared being powerless above all and would grasp at what she could in order to save another -- would she be able to confidently accept that part of her?
The part that would make her admit that she'd sacrifice so many other lives for just one?]
... Sorry I said so. Sounds rough.
[That's all she'll say, fingers tight on the book in her lap as she... very noticeably concentrates on it, though she's not reading it.]
no subject
[He frowns a little, tapping his fingers on the table. He's a little scared what his own would say about him now. What any of their's would]
no subject
(Asshole.)
...Sigrun doesn't seem in the mood for talk for the moment, watching her, and—dammit, that means he's up to bat, isn't he? ]
...I bet it would be. There's nothing like getting your flaws picked at in front of someone and then having them accept you back anyway, right? [ ...they should get off this topic. ] So, uh—do you have any ideas for your character? For the tabletop thing. Our nerd game.
[ #nailedit he is so not good at this topic change business but look, something nicer than this. ]
no subject
[But explains a lot about why he's so damn devoted to the guy- he still fought for him, still accepted him]
Oh, shit! I haven't even had time to look at the book much yet.
no subject
You can at least think about some basics. We won't be using that much math, since Miss Sigrun doesn't want it, so I think it's safe to say we can just pick class and race based on our aesthetic.
I'm torn between paladin and bard, personally. I'd have to really sing if I was the latter though--that's the rule.
no subject
no subject
I can sing without accompaniment! I just sound bad and dumb and... [ ... ] I wouldn't want to sing to everyone anyway, just y--
[ nnNOPE. clearing his throat, nope. ]
It's class rules, usually. Just like how paladins can't stray from their lawful good alignment. Well, they can, but they'll lose their holy power. [ ...you know.
he sounds like such a nerd. he's become self aware. better than the alternative conversation of "do you want to pick up where we left off at the meeting" ]
no subject
But that doesn't mean we have to actually act them out, do we? [He's regretting starting this at all now]
no subject
That's what makes this fun, lazybones.

[He takes back the player's guide, flipping through it]
What do you think would be good?
