WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. [Silver's out surprisingly quickly; he's still putting on his gloves as he heads out, but he looks over at Hanyuu and quickly beckons her over to the stairs. Looks like we're heading back up.]

[ She understands completely. If she were in Hanyuu's position, she would do the exact same thing: rewind time, open up new realities...whatever it took to save the person--or people--she cares about the most. ]

Oh, well, something kinda came up when I was talkin' to Silver and Kiki -- Watanuki -- earlier this week.

[... He doesn't want to say how it came up. Time to no context this shit for the greater good of seeing if he's actually got a chance in hell with her!]

And... I was wonderin' how you felt about her, I guess. You talk about her awfully fondly.

Not if I have anything to do with it. [But it was an empty promise. Even if he had a crossbow in his hands again, even if he was doing all he could to protect his "family," he was still failing miserably. Someone else had died last week. He had a sneaking suspicion that someone else would die at the end of the week.]

[But that wasn't the kind of thing he was going to tell a kid. Empty promises would have to do.]

How I feel about her?

[ Oh. Ohhhhh. Gold picked a heck of a topic because this is a minefield!! ]

Well, she's always been there for me! And we've been through a lot together. [ ... Putting it mildly. She's not sure about this next part, but... hey, Gold's her buddy. So why the heck not? ] Part of me still loves her a lot. Maybe more than friends. But after coming here... A bigger part of me's all confused about my feelings.
