Trustfell 4: Trust Fall or Die Hard (

WEEK 4.
Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 20 |

[OOC: Welcome to week four of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]

After he makes a brief stop at the foyer to just kinda stare at the shadow thing-- he's not gonna interact with it, but it's presence is unsettling as it reminds him of someone. Finally he's off to the dojo to spend a few hours praticing with his newly found trident. It's not hard to realize that he's pretty experienced with it, even if it's not his weapon of choice.
Killia's pretty much spent after all that, but when he gets back to his room he's still a bit on edge. It's too late to cook something now, but he could... well he'd feel weird showing up empty handed, and a glance over at his item pile presents a suitable enough choice. He heads over to room 8, but doesn't knock too loudly as it's pretty late.]

Is this...? It is! I can't believe it's here...!
[He picks up the Exalt's Crown and studies it for a moment before letting loose with the evil laughter, um. I'm so sorry???]
no subject
...
Are you okay?
[ Clearly this is the right question to be asking here.]
no subject
[He holds out the crown to show it off, but good luck getting him to give it back.]
This belongs to Ylisse's Exalt, their ruler! If it's here then...!
[Well uh. He's not exactly sure what that means, but...]
Then she's most likely dead!
[MORE EVIL LAUGHTER...]
no subject
So that means you won?
[ More blinking at the evil laughter though.]

[Varric was on his knees in front of the heap of stuff. He'd spotted a somewhat familiar book, but given the misleading nature of some of the titles they'd come across so far, he didn't get his hopes up. Nevertheless, the familiar heraldry of Kirkwall had his heart in his throat as he lifted the book up.]
[And there it was -- the carefully printed images of himself and his former companions.]
Hey kid, can I take this?

[...]
I'm a lot older than you.
no subject
Sure thing, kid. [Spoken like the dismissive little ass that he is. In all actuality, he probably hadn't even heard Killia correct him, caught up as he was admiring his handiwork.]

Room 8
He heads to the door and opens it without a single hesitation, regardless of how late it is. It was still Wednesday, after all. ]
Ah, hello Killia. Come in, come in~
[ He'll step aside so the other man could come in. ]
Felt like doing a late night visit?
no subject
I feel like talking if you don't mind. I know it's late, sorry. I was gonna make something for us to eat, but I wouldn't have had enough time. [ Oh, right.]
I brought this instead, but it's not as good as food. [ Rpg pockets are at work because he pulls out the sakura bouquet he got from the vending machine. He knows from the samurai netherworlds that the flower is common among swordmasters, so he's taking a guess here. Also he saw the pin Mikazuki was wearing earlier, so that helps too.
...he hopes that's good enough, because the memory of Lieze scolding him for visiting her late one night is vivid in his mind. She always lectured him on showing proper gratitude, and it's been a long time since he's been in a place to use her advice again.]

He also was very aware of what kind of situation they were all in (dangerous, dire), and he very much was aware of what the reason for his existence had been. The other part of him, hidden away from others, warned him in vague whispers that he shouldn't be allowing himself to feel like this, to allow himself to get so close to others. In the end, he was to follow his Master's wishes, and regardless of the fact that he now has a human form too, he was a weapon. A tool to be used in battle, to combat anyone who dared to change history. No matter the kindness showed to him (by his master, by his friends), and no matter the indulgences he made. ]

Oh my, this is--Killia I had no idea you felt that way. Of course I accept. I just... I don't know what to say. No one has ever...
[ ... It is just a little unfortunate his mind has lept from one conclusion to another. But he'll be reaching out to take the bouquet nonetheless. ]

It's almost funny that unlike the many times Seraphina had misunderstood, his visceral reaction wasn't no or a denial. It's scarier to him that it's not that, actually. Maybe he had known that intrinsically over the past week but...]
