WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 23 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 22 APPRENTICES REMAINING: 20

[ Huh, that sure is a lot of stuff. Elda's wearing some of her stuff, specifically a bracelet and a broach or two, but it doesn't really stand out much. But seeing some of them on the table here...

What's the ruler thing? She's going to just wave it around, seeing if there's a trick to it.

She didn't ask.

Is that yours? [ He figures it might be because of how she's waving it.]

[matchbreaker]

Well, it could be now.

[ SHE SMIRKS AS SHE TURNS-

And ends up slapping it against her wrist. She jumps as it clicks around it like a watch or something.

Whoa what?! ]

[deofoled]

You're just going to take- [ Well that certainly was a loud sound.]

What was that?

[matchbreaker]

[ It was a SCHWIP sound, and she holds out her wrist to show how the thing has wrapped around her- ]

It's like a worm or something! Look, it wrapped up!

[deofoled]

On it's own? [ He does not know what to make of this bracelet thing.]

[matchbreaker]

On it's own!

[ And she tries to take it off!! ... And it comes off easily, straightening out a she pulls it off ]

Do you think it'll do it again? [ ...somehow he's never seen anything like this in the Netherworlds.]

[matchbreaker]

[ . . .!!

She tries to put it to her wrist again and-

It snapped again! Or well, schwoped ]

How's it doing that?

[ He's just going to walk over and poke it.]

It doesn't feel alive. Is it a robot?

Wouldn't it need to have a face to be a robot?

[ But she pulls it off - and... it's straight. ]

Maybe, I'm not an engineer. What else would it be? [ Someone save these two from the mystery of children's toys.]

[matchbreaker]

Try it on your wrist.

[ She hands it off to him. ]

[deofoled]

[ Sure why not. He takes it from her and.............snap!]

It did the same thing.

Yeah, I noticed!

[ HOLY SHIT ]

[ Taking it off and.........blinking several times as it goes back to being straight.]

Oh, really? I will, then!

[ A beat. ]

You find anything you do like?

[ As she idly plays with the little schwooper some more ]

A trident. [ That one he made sure not to leave hanging around though, it's safely in his room.

But he'll look at the pile of remaining items here, the feather pen catching his eye.]

...I don't think this is a bird feather.

[matchbreaker]

Oh yeah, what is it?

[ She'll just leave the thing on her wrist, scooting past to look over at this feather.

... It would be a pretty big bird, admittedly. ]

[deofoled]

I didn't think I had ever seen one but-- an angel feather.

[ Gee thanks, wordsmith. He has no way of knowing for sure, it's just a feeling albeit one he can't shake.]

[matchbreaker]

Holy smokes -a real one? Are you sure?

[ She...

she tries to hold back seeming more surprised than she is. But she is. Surprised. A lot. ]

I can't know for sure, the only one who would know is dead.

[ Well he's not gonna call her out on it because he's suddenly bitter and somber.]

[matchbreaker]

[ Huh...? Which one? She sort of does a mental count- ]

Which one? The first dead girl? Or --- your friend?

[ . . . You know, probably his friend. ]

[ Saying friend is hard, ok.]

Yeah, that one.

[ Better than the fact that she was considering calling him "the nerd" - ]

You figure he had wings somewhere?
