WEEK 6 With the deaths of Viktor Nikiforov, Varric Tethras, and Killia, you're down to half of your original number. There's only fifteen of you left. How much longer before your number drops again? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, that doesn't mean that you've gained nothing else among the many, many losses you've faced; it seems that another floor has been made available to you for surviving another week. [She takes another sip, and her eyebrows furrow. She lets the drink sit on her tongue for a few moments before she swallow.]

Bleh...

[Yeah, she's going to push the can to the side. Sorry, Elda, you really did try.]

It tastes like nothing I've ever had before.

I honestly wouldn't say that. To be honest, my palate is different compared to most people's. Things like apple gels don't apply to my tastes either, and this is kind of like that. I imagine most other people would enjoy this kind of thing.

[Yeah, maybe she should explain what the hell an apple gel is, but they're so common in her world...]

A great deal! But agreeing with it also means you accept Wordsmith's assessment of you!

... Why would one turn an apple into a gel?

[firstaid]

Oh, an apple gel is a gummy like supplement used to give one energy. It's useful in battles when you're feeling rather tired. They have a sweet taste to them like this drink, but it doesn't have that burning, fuzzy taste that this has.

[matchbreaker]

So it's a sweet medicine?

[ WHO EVER HEARD OF THAT? ]

[firstaid]

I suppose that would be one way to describe it, yes.

[A medicine she's not too fond of, but kids are.]

...oh, crap. But... how would I rebel against being Rebellious.

[matchbreaker]

[ Wow. ]

What a world. One of the idioms of the human world I know is that medicine has to be bitter.

[matchbreaker]

[ Oh no, did she catch him?! She bursts out laughing!! That's adorable!! ]

Oh, if this were bitter, then children wouldn't find it appealing. That's part of why it tastes why it does.

[A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down after all.]

Ooooooh... that is clever.

As she reached a finger out to put a tip in the curry. Or intends to ]

[ Mikazuki easily begins to lightly pat at her back, not offering any more words or anything that'd be judgmental in the slightest. Even when she's giving the loudest cry, he doesn't seem bothered... in fact, he had been hoping that she would release all of her sadness like this. He had done something similar while he had been out in the aftermath of the trial, although it's probable Gangrel was the one who had mostly seen it...

It is also telling that he doesn't seem like he's going to move from this spot or trying to that he wishes to abandon her or anything like that. He had come here for a reason, after all. ]

[Estelle won't stop her. Now that she knows how to make it, she could easily make it again. She watches the other curiously, considering she knows Elda can't taste things... that is if she intends to eat it.]

[matchbreaker]

[ Nope! At least, not originally. Rather, she's going to rub the thick liquid between her fingers once she pulls it back. Or well, between her forefinger and her thumb, letting some drip on the table. She also sniffs it again ]

So you were at this all day?

[firstaid]

[Her crying lasts for a bit, eventually calming down to a huff of breaths, and then suddenly, she's just exhausted. Though there is no denying that she feels a lot better as she rests her head on his shoulder. Her embrace on him loosens, but her fingers cling to his clothes. It's like she's silently telling him it's okay if he needs to leave, but still asking if he could stay.

As much as she wants to be alone she doesn't want to be left alone at the same time.

Maybe it's in this moment that she decides for the sake of her own mental health, that she just needs to trust Mikazuki. That he won't say painful words to her, that he won't tell her that she makes him feel guilty. Those words Killidia told her still sting, even though Killia seemed to clarify them.]

I'm sorry... for how I treated you last night and just now. I'm... just really scared.

[How many times has she told Mikazuki now that she's scared? She may be able to count it on one hand, but it also feels like she's lost count.]

[firstaid]

[She nods as she takes a bite of curry.]

It was a recipe Killia left for me. But... he didn't leave directions or measurements. Just ingredients.

[There's a small laugh from her. Yeah, she's feeling better for sure.]

Oh, I got one of those too. The whole thing's disgustingly vague.

[ Siiigh, still rubbing her fingers together. ]

I don't think explaining or giving directions were his strong point.

[The texture she's likely feeling is a bit lumpy, but it's mostly smooth overall.]

I could have told you that. Your cooking less was far better!
