WEEK 6 With the deaths of Viktor Nikiforov, Varric Tethras, and Killia, you're down to half of your original number. There's only fifteen of you left. How much longer before your number drops again? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, that doesn't mean that you've gained nothing else among the many, many losses you've faced; it seems that another floor has been made available to you for surviving another week. [ She knows.

She knows, she knows, she knows, she knows!

Elda bites her lip, knowing that allowing jealousy - for she knows it can be nothing put - getting the better of her now would be ... it would apocalyptic. She snarls, and she finally takes one more step back. ]

... I am glad that you sand more resolute now, Hanyuu.

[ Sincerely. That's... that's what she came to check.

Right?

... She should probably go. She doesn't, just yet though. ]

[firstaid]

[She purses her lips a bit at that 'may we talk'. He tried to comfort her last night and well, that ended up rather badly. Neither of them were capable of being a comfort to each other and in fact likely made that wound worse, so that feeling is definitely overflowing into today.

Though right now it's not just about Killia being gone -- it's now about can she trust Mikazuki. Who will betray her now? Because clearly even some of her friends and those she thought she could trust back home... they betrayed her. And it's even worse here. She's now just realized that. Any hope she held on to, it's gone. She doesn't know if she lives back home... if she's going to be given a death sentence no matter what.]

Wh-what do you need to talk about?

[The door closes slightly, but she's still peeking out. It's clear... she's paranoid.]

... I had returned from punishing the Brownlicks. Anju gave me a good luck charm [ (... Orihime had that, didn't she?) ] and Henry told me he had something secret and serious to discuss with me.

[ By the time Elda had become much more fang-y and her eyes had changed like that... she'd taken several steps back. Because an angry vampire is not something she wants to push any more than she likely has.

... It's incredible, the mollifying effect Hanyuu has. Vanille still doesn't say anything, but she's still shaking a bit, and she seems to be trying to make herself smaller. All she'd told Elda... you'd think it would help her feel better, but she just feels... sick, almost. She'd wanted to get to know Elda, but... maybe any chance of that now is gone. ]

[tsugomori]

[ ... Oh.

That's not the kind of reaction he's expected. Now, if it hadn't been after what's recently happened, it probably wouldn't be so hard on him, but right as of this moment, it hurts. Still, he'll be trying his best. ]

Well... honestly, I didn't think too much, and I didn't really have much of a topic in mind. I was just concerned because of last night, and wanted to make sure you were alright.

But maybe we can talk about our dreams?

[ He raises a hand to play idly with a strand of his hair for a moment, before letting it fall to his side, but he tries to at least manage a smile. ]

[She knows she's overreacting, but this feeling-- this paranoia won't go away. She wants to deal with it herself, it's always how she's done things, unless someone forced her to say what's on her mind.

There's no lying that her reaction hurt him, because she's never seen him like that before. Maybe it's an act though. Maybe it's because he's lonely and they're friends.

Maybe...

So many maybes...

But dreams comes up and her eyes go wide in fear and the door opens a little more since she's still holding on to the handle. It's clear that's what is affecting her the most right now.]

I... we can talk wherever you want, but... I don't... want to talk about my dream.

[She can talk about possibly being killed in her world, but she can't talk about anything that shows she distrusts others.]

[Silver's approaching the profiles... With some tape and a sharpie, actually. But he'll stop at Mikazuki's words.]

[What can she do, to fix this? What...can she do, to defuse all of this? Hanyuu's expression softens.]

That's alright then.

But, if we're going to talk about my dream, I don't want to do it somewhere other people can overhear me. Is that reasonable?

[ Mikazuki has certainly noticed her reaction when he had brought it up and despite the fact that he can be oblivious in certain situations, when it comes to people displaying unease, that's not something he's going to miss. He'll easily respect her wishes, and he figures that it has been a long time coming...because he's never got around to telling her things.

But, at the same time, he's not going to say what happened in his dream while he's standing in the hallway, so, uh. ]

Hahaha, you are quite kind.

But, would your type of setting be something that is more "bad ass"?

[ He'll just say that as calm as usual... it helps being able to see things in nature like this, reminds him of the outside. ]

[matchbreaker]

She sighs. She sighs, and then points at Vanille. ]

Comfort your ward. Find me on the newest floor later today, and we'll talk then.

[ After all, she did make Vanille cry. That girl cried and was comforted all the time, why should this be an exception? (who was she to talk, she was looking to do that or feel that herself...) She isn't going to apologize for it, at least not now, but she is going to turn and start to walk away, her hair trailing behind her. ]

[She'll open her door enough for him to enter now, trying to push past that initial unease.]

You can... can come in then.

[Right, she's being silly, isn't she? Mikazuki is her friend, right? So she'll leave her place at the door and motion for him to enter. She'll set up the chair so it's facing the bed and then after that she'll sit on the bed.]

[ He turns to face Vanille with a smile. ]

Ahh...we've never talked to each other, have we? If not, I think some introductions are in order, even if we've seen each other on the profiles.

[ ... She watches her go, and there's a seed of guilt that's planted itself in her chest. Vanille's shoulders slump, and she doesn't look at Hanyuu. Not yet, anyway. ]
