Trustfell 4: Trust Fall or Die Hard ([personal profile] trustwellness) wrote in [community profile] trusthell2017-02-26 12:04 pm

WEEK 6.

WEEK 6

With the deaths of Viktor Nikiforov, Varric Tethras, and Killia, you're down to half of your original number. There's only fifteen of you left.

How much longer before your number drops again?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Of course, that doesn't mean that you've gained nothing else among the many, many losses you've faced; it seems that another floor has been made available to you for surviving another week.

Congratulations and well done, even if you might not necessarily appreciate the reward.

APPRENTICES REMAINING: 15

Hi, Estelle.

[The words are friendly enough.]

Found anything in here you like?
firstaid: (there for you)

[personal profile] firstaid 2017-03-02 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Not yet. I honestly haven't been in this library until now.

[Which may be odd for a girl who loves books.]
plentyfriendly: (phi$ helplessness)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-03-02 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh. Phi wasn't keeping track of everyone else's social lives, but that probably means...]

Last week's travesty was really hard on you, huh...
firstaid: (recite)

[personal profile] firstaid 2017-03-02 08:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[She nods.]

I... had never lost a close friend like that before... so yes, it was rather hard.
plentyfriendly: (phi$ embraced)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-03-02 09:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I can't really say I knew any of them that well. Varric did say he thought of me like a daughter, or something like that, but I barely even spoke to Viktor or Killia...

[Now she won't get the chance.]
firstaid: (trust)

[personal profile] firstaid 2017-03-02 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I've talked with Varric many times. He also let me read his story. Killia... I was rather close to. Losing them both... it was hard.

[Not to mention she found Varric's body...]
plentyfriendly: (phi$ grep -a solve pzldb)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-03-02 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
His story, huh... I'd imagine he wouldn't object to me reading that. Do you know where it is?
firstaid: (Curiouser and curiouser)

[personal profile] firstaid 2017-03-02 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I do not. You would have to ask someone else.
plentyfriendly: (phi$ sort ominous_message)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-03-02 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm. Well, I have time. Nothing but time, really.

[No more leads yet... it's really wearing on her.]
firstaid: (Really?)

[personal profile] firstaid 2017-03-02 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Does that have to do with what you told me last thing? Having time? Or something else?
plentyfriendly: (phi$ vim decrease)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-03-02 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Not really.

[She hasn't even tried to shift - and nothing's been serious enough for it to kick in on its own.]

As much as I want to find a way for all of us to get out, that's been slow-moving. Whole days go by without any progress.
firstaid: (the world; dark; uncertainty; fear)

[personal profile] firstaid 2017-03-02 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I suppose they have.

[She sighs.]

Honestly, I've... just been doing what I can to survive. I suppose that is selfish, however, I really don't know how to be useful here.
plentyfriendly: (phi$ loved)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-03-02 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
There's not really a problem with that. A lot of people would say something like "how can you take care of others if you don't take care of yourself"? I mean, it works for airline safety guidelines.
firstaid: (Eh?)

[personal profile] firstaid 2017-03-02 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I believe that is true, too. I've been trying to take care of myself to not worry others.

[Though.]

Airline safety?

[She cocks her head to the side.]

What is that?

Earth is pretty big, and most of it is ocean. One of the ways people get around having thousands of miles of water between wherever they are and where they're going is by riding in a machine that just flies over it.

It's completely sealed, though, since the air that high up is too thin to breathe for very long and it still takes a few hours.
firstaid: (speak)

[personal profile] firstaid 2017-03-02 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
You can really do that? I thought over water you had to use ships.

[She really has no memories of flying, unfortunately, or else it would make sense.]
plentyfriendly: (phi$ make escape_plan)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-03-02 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
That's also an option - it tends to just take longer.

Airplanes work by moving fast enough that air pushes up into the wings, lifting it off the ground - at least, that's the basics.
firstaid: (i'm thinking)

[personal profile] firstaid 2017-03-03 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
How intriguing. It's curious how it can carry people. I imagine it must be loud as a result.

[She's imagining the wings actually flapping, so...]
plentyfriendly: (phi$ meditation)

[personal profile] plentyfriendly 2017-03-03 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
Very.

Anyway, some things can cause the inside of the plane to lose pressure, and in case that happens the ceiling of the plane is filled with oxygen masks that drop down. If you strap one to your face, you'd be able to breathe normally.
firstaid: (calm; clastped hands; acceptance)

[personal profile] firstaid 2017-03-03 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
Oh wow! So they're prepared for any situation that may come. This airplane sounds rather interesting and I am quite amazed there's something like that.
