WEEK 4.

WEEK 4 Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. I'd sincerely hope not. The only people who wear these are Dark Mages and they certainly don't look good in it.

[There isn't going to be any sort of answer, verbal or otherwise; it doesn't seem interested in acknowledging her presence, even, loud though it may be.]

If they're lingering as spirits somewhere, then of course they would try to communicate. I've never heard of a ghost trying to write a letter before, though. Usually it's through stuff like Ouija boards and Angel-san and stuff.

[...Well, all of that is...new? One of those dark tendrils will reach out after a moment, though, like it's been deliberating whether or not it should actually humor any of this - but eventually it seems that either curiosity or the promise of food is going to win the day and it'll take the piece of orange that it's being offered.

...Said piece of orange just kind of disappears into the mass of shadows there instead of appearing to be properly eaten, but it's not like it...won't accept it, from the look of it. This is fine? It apparently considers this fine.]

[Well, it doesn't look like it's going to answer any, verbally or otherwise. So it's probably for the best that she's not expecting too much.]

Ouija... Are those like talking boards? They have the little dial on them and all the letters and stuff, supposedly the dead write messages to you?

Shadow thing investigation

[It's a few hours before Watanuki comes back to it, because he's busy preparing a few things. But sometime that evening, when it is quiet, Watanuki will go to where the dark entity can be found. In his hands is a bowl of rice, with a fork stuck up in the top of it, much like chopsticks would be if it was an offering.

Actually, that's exactly what it is: an offering. He wants to see if maybe the dark entity will respond to such a thing.

So he very carefully sets the bowl on the ground near where the dark entity is flowing into the floor, and then he scoots back. He'll keep his distance, but he stays in the room, waiting to see what happens.]

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm talking about. Angel-san is the same idea, but you write letters on a piece of paper and use a pen instead. The letters that are circled with the pen spell out the message.

Yeah, he gets huge. But why would his tails be cursed?

[Mugetsu nods his head vigorously in response, and he tries to jump over to Varric's shoulder, but Watanuki catches him.]

Dinner first, then booze.

[Ugh he can't fight with Silver, especially not over something as silly as this.]

[A pause.]

Because Mugetsu is with you and he would get stepped on too. I-it's not because you might get hurt or anything!

[Wow it's been a while since he's been like that.]

Maybe you should write it on your scabbard too then, since they seem to keep getting separated from each other.

It'll be vaguely checked out, as though to see whether or not it's...I don't know, an exploding bowl of rice on the floor or something, but largely it's going to be ignored once it's verified to be nonexplosive or what have you.]

Ok it's not, it's just regular rice. But when it's eventually ignored, Watanuki starts to get irritated. Irritated enough to speak up.]
