Week 3.

WEEK 3

Another week has passed; two more Survivors are gone. Pearl and Caren both had someone to fight for, someone worth killing for; perhaps it's for the best to hope that somehow they've found peace despite not being able to collect on the Kingmaker's incentive.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. That doesn't mean the night passed easily, though - it seems another piece of your personal puzzle may have fallen into place while you slept...

Following that spiral staircase up to the second floor will reveal something strange; those stairs definitely lead far higher than you remember, up to a previously inaccessible third floor. Go ahead and explore as much as you like; consider it your reward for a job well done.

SURVIVORS REMAINING: 23

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins and the coming week's activity check; don't forget to check in to this week's activity check and submit your memory regains!

The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]
amygdalae: (but who was phone)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-03-17 01:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm well aware it can be naive, but we can't afford to keep pointing fingers at one another either. It'll just give the Kingmaker more means to exploit us.
amygdalae: this is really not English (complicated explanation time)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-03-17 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
To making a discovery.

[And one that will actually help them in some fashion, too.]
amygdalae: remember that you are human (Default)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-03-17 03:30 pm (UTC)(link)
It's been a hard day for all of us. [Harder than most, perhaps.

He gestures to a space besides him.]
Feel free to stay here for as long as you want.
amygdalae: that's a nice way to put it (my other self?)

wow i didn't even realize my tag fail up there...

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-03-17 03:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[A small, amused sound from Bruce.]

It certainly would.

[It would be far, far more easier. This, Bruce knows well.]
amygdalae: (oh look there's wally.)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-03-17 03:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I doubt enforcing it will ever be feasible, but at least it is something that can be kept in mind.

[Or... well, something like that, anyway.]
cherryblooded: (calm / frown)

[personal profile] cherryblooded 2016-03-17 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
The exact circumstances are private, but... It's not something that either of us will be able to fix, I think.
cherryblooded: (smile / that's fine)

[personal profile] cherryblooded 2016-03-17 03:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Would explain a lot. Or he could just be weird.
amygdalae: (all the stress)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-03-17 03:46 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I'm fine.

[He says it perhaps a bit too quickly, but he doesn't... Bruce isn't really quite up for any kind of discussion right now. He can't really force himself to, with all these thoughts running in his mind.]
cherryblooded: (smile / that's right)

[personal profile] cherryblooded 2016-03-17 03:46 pm (UTC)(link)
If you come by mine, I'd love to have you over for a visit.
cherryblooded: (calm / wait what)

[personal profile] cherryblooded 2016-03-17 03:48 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a natural tendency, to be suspicious and doubt one another in times like this. Don't like it, but I can't blame anyone, either.
cherryblooded: (calm / talking)

[personal profile] cherryblooded 2016-03-17 03:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Have you managed to get anything concrete out of him?
cherryblooded: (smile / ahahaha)

[personal profile] cherryblooded 2016-03-17 03:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Really that bad, huh...?

[Yeah, he has no idea at all.]
cherryblooded: (calm / wait what)

[personal profile] cherryblooded 2016-03-17 03:52 pm (UTC)(link)
...I agree with you. If I haven't actually been poisoned, then I would need some other explanation for why I feel so weak compared to my usual self. The dreams seem as likely a reason as any.

[Not one he likes, but a probable one.]
amygdalae: you, sir, are an asshole (yes I do not agree with this)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-03-17 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Likewise, but it has to end some time.

[They won't get anywhere constantly being suspicious of one another.]
captainobnoxious: (20 boy is that shit broken)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-17 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Now it is, 'cause I used it.

[there's the logic]
amygdalae: you sir have failed me (all of the disappoint)

[personal profile] amygdalae 2016-03-17 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Not really. [Mostly because Bruce doesn't really talk to him unless needed, and most of the time it just goes to Bruce being frustrated at everything that the Kingmaker is doing. It's not really leading him anywhere.]
captainobnoxious: (06 don't talk much? too bad! i do!)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-17 04:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope! You're doing good! There won't be anything that's longer than half a minute [yes she was counting] so you're pretty on top of lessons already. Next, we'll learn the basic notes.

[Follow her!! She'll do the scale, showing him where to place his fingers.]

[personal profile] ignorantly 2016-03-17 04:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Getting to kill them?
captainobnoxious: (23 you're joking right)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-17 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw, I don't think you've got to be good at all when it comes to music! I mean, it sure helps, since no one's going to want to listen to you otherwise, but even someone who's got no skill in it can learn to play at least one thing that reminds them of home.

[Like Mouri. She's teaching Mouri. All that air's going to something good with the flute.

... But that idle plucking's starting to sound like something Mettaton's played before on is ukulele, albeit with a few wrong notes as she works out the sounds.]

Maybe we can celebrate that part at least, since that's what music's good for.
captainobnoxious: (43 yeah sure)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-17 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm. Maybe... I don't know, since I was a kid, maybe. I remember listening to my mom and dad play a lot when they were younger too, and since everyone learns it I just kind of got into it too until I was old enough to start going out on missions and such.

[Which is young, mind, but.]

Even then I'd still practice, mostly with my own awesome stories and the ones of my peers. So a while, I'd guess?
captainobnoxious: (19 yeah that's broken)

[personal profile] captainobnoxious 2016-03-17 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[...]

That sounds pretty fake, but alright. I'll try and believe you.

[she doesn't believe him one bit.]
goodforsomething: (⛵ probably going to disregard this)

[personal profile] goodforsomething 2016-03-17 05:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Hell if I know.

[Stan inspects it, turning it around in his hands, and then flicks it on.

It is very bright!]
goodforsomething: (⛵ this looks reasonably pleasant)

[personal profile] goodforsomething 2016-03-17 05:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Works for me!

[LET'S PLAY POKER]
sleepingkogoro: (boast)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-17 05:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course I'd be on top of lessons already. That is how the great detective Kogoro Mouri does everything! Bwahahaha!

[Positive praise, how he yearned for thee.

In his enthusiasm he does try to follow the positions. It...actually wasn't that bad of an attempt. His fingers do get tangled at times but at least he isn't leaving the flute away in frustration, his attempts are getting somewhere.

This is more instantly gratifying than sewing and cooking - at least these first lessons are - so it is no surprise Mouri is getting more into this than into the other activities he has tried]

H-How long have you known to play the flute?
Edited 2016-03-17 17:29 (UTC)
sleepingkogoro: (what was that)

[personal profile] sleepingkogoro 2016-03-17 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Ugh, I knew you'd say that.

[Mouri grimaces]

No god is going to come to earth to smite anyone.
