Week 9.
For the first time since your stay in the Vault began, no one died this week. That doesn't mean there weren't casualties among you, however – namely, trust, interpersonal relationships, and comfort in the group dynamic as a whole. Hopefully no one else pays the price for it. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; there aren't any bodies to be found on Sunday morning. You're safe for now – unless your dreams have told you otherwise... |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week nine of Trustfell! Save your threads for coins; don't forget to submit your memory regains! There is no activity check this week!
THIS IS THE LAST WEEK TO REDEEM COINS!
The text and calling posts are still active, for the sake of contacting the jerk who's keeping you here, to be used at your leisure!]

message for Glory
One of those things is...messing with some sort of device as he sips his coffee at one of the dining hall tables. It's disassembled into a bunch of pieces but the main thing Colress is poking at seems to be the core of whatever it is. There is also a gutted Showa Radio on the other side of the table. Looks like he's trying to fix whatever this unknown device is? He'll work on that up until shortly before the meeting, returning his machine scraps to his room to work on again at another time.
After the meeting, he makes a quick trip up to the conference room to write a message to Glory on the board. Another drawing accompanies his message, this time a little Magnemite sending out some happy shock waves.
Hello Glory. This is Colress.
Miss Sigrun told me that you were able to get in contact with the others and give them a warning.
Thank you so much. I truly appreciate your kindness.
He'll stick around for a little bit to see if Glory's there, but otherwise moves on not too long after to go about the rest of his day.
The afternoon is dedicated to some good ol' experimenting in the chemistry lab. This is done more as a way to keep himself occupied than anything, but he's open for conversation if anyone wants any. Or...if anyone even comes up here anymore.
Later on into the evening, he meets up with Sigrun and Black wherever happens to be most convenient to attempt to make contact with the ghosts. He has Beheeyem out at the ready, and looks at the both of them.]
To recap from previous attempts, it works like this: Beheeyem will scan for any spiritual activity, and if he spots anything, he can send out a signal to try to attract them to us. Of course, like before, I cannot guarantee that he will be able to locate them, but we can at least try to send out messages in the event that he cannot.
[Because sending out a psychic message in a bottle is better than nothing, he supposes.]

[Psychic messages in a bottle...]

He sort of hopes they're not around. ]
That's neat. Will they send messages back if they hear ours?
no subject
Colress just smiles at it though. Beheeyem already knows how incredibly grateful his Trainer is for his services.]
Based on my previous successful interaction, yes. Beheeyem will relay anything they say to us via telepathy.
no subject
Not... like, to our minds, right? Because I don't know how I'll feel about that. It sounds weird.
no subject
[It's all said with a good deal of confidence. Colress has done this before, it's not a concern at all.]
I promise that it is not as invasive as it may seem. It feels like plain conversation, only without needing to speak. You will only hear what they want to say, and they will only hear what you want to say.

[Please confirm. Please confirm!!!!]

[There's a small smile at this.]
Let's just say that Zagi is just as unsubtle as he was when he was alive.

Okay. Okay! Oooh, I'm kind of nervous, that's nice.

Dining Hall
What are you trying to do here, exactly?
no subject
Colress doesn't look up from his work, but he does give Mouri a little wave in greeting.]
I am attempting to fix something that was given to me. I'd like to keep my skills sharp, and, well... I imagine we may not have much time left in here, so better now than never.
no subject
...I have no idea what this could be for. It must be something special for you to want to fix it as soon as possible, I suppose.
no subject
It was a gift from Tarrlok. It is a device from his world that he received from the vending machine, but it must have been damaged somewhere along the way. I promised that I would restore it to working order, since it may be of use to us at some point.
[He looks a little wistful as he talks about it.]
Tarrlok is not with us on this side anymore, but...perhaps I can finish it in his honor, at least.
no subject
...but you do know what this device is supposed to do, right? [It'd be kind of embarrassing if you fixed it and it ended doing something entirely different to its original purpose]

HELLO, COLRESS.
YOU'RE WELCOME.
HOW ARE YOU DOING TODAY?
no subject
I am doing better than I was last week. Admittedly, I became something of a worrywart. I did not get much sleep.
But your news to Miss Sigrun eased my concerns.
[He considers talking about the not-trial, but...]
How about yourself?
no subject
THE DEAD PEOPLE SEEM TO BE DOING FINE AS WELL.

I am also glad to hear that you were able to talk to them at all. I imagine it must have been difficult, considering your limited vision.
Did you have a conversation with them, or did you simply check in with them?

Apart from the obvious, of course.

Oh! That is interesting.
Did that stem from your warning about the Kingmaker? I cannot say he is a very popular figure around here.

If Colress does come close enough to see he'll be seeing just a collection of photos of Bruce and the rest of the Avengers - not that Colress will recognize them beyond Tony. There's a lot of photos that feature him and Tony alone prominently, though there is also a lot of a certain red-haired woman too.]
I'm so sorry for the lateness!
He will look over to see what Bruce is doing at times though. He...can't help but lean over to see what he's looking at. He's seen Bruce go through that phone so many times, now...]
...Are these more of the people you worked with?
[He hates to sound like he's prying, but...he's curious. He does recognize Tony in those group pics, so it's a fair hypothesis to him.]
its cool :>
[His thumb rests on the edge of his phone, which is currently displaying a group photo of them on the rooftop of the Tower. There're some remnants of fireworks in the sky and what seems to be barbecue equipment at the side. Bruce himself is at a lower row, managing to not grimace as Tony does rabbit ears from behind him like a playful five year old.]
