WEEK 4.

WEEK 4
Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira.

It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with.

Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices.

[She passes over the photograph.]

It's a photo of most of the old gang. It's not all of us, but it's good to see their faces.

[She'll point to each of them in turn.]

On the left side, there's Tracer - Lena Oxton - with the spiky hair, Gabriel Reyes on her left, Winston, and Ana Amari. On the right is Jack Morrison, our Strike Commander, myself, Reinhardt Wilhelm - you would like him, I think. Jesse McCree is the one in the cowboy hat, and Zenyatta is on the end.

I don't know. I don't usually wake up before the kitchen's open. ...I've gotten locked out at night, though.

[But regardless, he will make Mikazuki a quick breakfast; there will be eggs, of course, because he absolutely loves the shit out of eggs, and he can't imagine why anyone wouldn't, but he'll also throw in some fried rice, because that's quick, tasty, filling, and... You know, actually a meal.]

Are you doing okay? Did you have another dream?

[If he doesn't want to talk about it, that's no big deal, but it's a good a conversation starter as any.]

Mikazuki told me what you wrote for Christo.

[Silver has plenty of his own coins to throw at the machine, and... There Watanuki is, with something that looks kind of like a-]

Is that the pipe fox?

[It's so much cuter than he imagined, holy shit.]

[Well damn, that's one way to get his attention. Silver takes a little while to realize what's happening; Weavile wastes no time, however, and scurries right on over to Varric to get a taste of his stew.]

My name's Silver.

[But he pulls himself out of the pool and seeks out a towel anyway, because food sounds surprisingly good right about now, now that he remembers that it exists.]

Thanks. You didn't have to.

[Well, Lusamine was actually just checking out the new floor to see what on earth there was. She had a rivalry to settled with Gangrel, and there had to be something here that neither of them did...

Still, the pool is a very pleasant surprise! ...Even moreso that Silver and Weavile are in there. Lusamine smiles and steps inside.]

Looks like you two are having fun. Just make sure you don't become a pair of prunes, hm?

[Surprisingly enough, it's jokingly said. They both seem happy.]

[...oh, okay, yeah, it's open, let's just see if...

Yeah. Okay. Across the hall neighbor isn't dead yet. Good.]

...Hey. Whatcha reading.

[Yeah, Estelle's just going to stare at that outfit... a lot.]

Is that supposed to cover anything?

[Nope, not dead! She's still very much alive and kicking. Good thing he calls out to her because she was super into her book.]

It's called 'Elegance and the Monster'. It's a rather intriguing story, though I'm also rather sure the heroine is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.

[...time to stare at Mikazuki staring at the pads.]

...are you expecting to glare a hole through it, or...

[Oh hey, it's Lusamine. Silver stares at her for a moment, then snaps out of it and nods.]

Why don't you and your Pokémon come join us? The water's great.

[The water's fine!]

I could help you tie up your hair.

[He's sure Lusamine can take care of herself, but damn is that a lot of hair.]

[ "The time to seduce me by picturing katsudon and women during your skating is over. You can fight with your own personal charms."

After a terrible Friday and Saturday, Viktor is doing better. Chiyuki's death still hurts him deeply, but the memory that came back to him is nice and motivates him to get out of bed in the morning and head to the vending machine with a handful of coins. Today's haul is an interesting one; the Chiyuki dolls make him frown because he did not need this painful reminder, but his expression softens when his phone falls out. He picks it up and immediately checks when the last photo on it was taken. ]

So I was kidnapped on December 14... [ He says to himself, not caring if somebody hears him. ]

[ A few hours later, Viktor can be found in the kitchen where he's in the middle of decorating a cake with whipped cream and strawberries. The realization that his birthday happened during the second week made him really want some cake, so he decided to make one as a late birthday present to himself.

In the afternoon, he explores the new floor and spends a few hours in the pool, swimming a few laps but he's mostly here to chill and lazily float around on his back.

Finally, Viktor decides to investigate the bar sometime in the evening. He starts off by checking the shelves where the booze is stocked to see if there's anything hidden behind the bottles. ]

Cool. Kind of cool.

[You know, Kimbley is pretty content to just kind of...autopilot his way around for the next foreseeable ever, but at some time it occurs to him (vaguely, briefly) that he should probably see what's on the new floor. He isn't all that thrilled about it, but it'll be for the best to see what's there.

The pool normally wouldn't have his interest, but the person down there does.

He's not too concerned about her being dead, but he'll stick around just to see how long she's down there; the answer is, apparently, "a damn long time", and he's there by the wall when she eventually does come up, just kind of watching.]

Guess you really don't need to breathe. That's impressive.

[...is that normal for alien rock people. should he go... make sure she isn't drowning.

it'll probably be fine. he'll just... keep an eye out, wait and see if she comes up on her own, and make sure things don't get Weird.]

[Well, the Wordsmith may lift, he may not, but the machines don't seem to have any secret or trick to them; it's noticeable, though, that they seem to be largely unused. It's not in a rusted sort of way, but the weights don't have a particularly large amount of wear to them, nor do the machines.]

[So what kind of books are you looking at, Mikazuki?]

[You bet he's looking up. And as soon as he sees that look on Varric's face, he instantly feels guilty.]

Varric, I-

[And then Mugetsu pops up to investigate. Friend or foe????]

[The shelves appear normal, at least as far as the bottles are concerned, nothing stuffed behind them or anything.]

[Oh? Someone is calling him cute? That means they're a good person, so Mugetsu will crawl right over to her to get some attention. Hi Estelle hiiiii.]

Ah, that's Mugetsu. I didn't expect him to pop out of this thing!

[OH HI SILVER enjoy a pipefox jumping over to wrap around your arm.]

Yeah, that's Mugetsu. And that's the fastest i've ever seen him take to someone other than me, too.

My, my, I never knew you had quite the good sense of humor.

[ He'll smile in a coyish manner, but its probably more to himself than to Killia since the other man is probably too preoccupied with his routine to notice. ]

Jokes aside, yes, everything is quite fine. I had been waiting to meet Kogitsunemaru for quite awhile and it was nice to remember it happening.

So I guess you could consider it quite the 'good memory'.

[Cool, huh? Mugetsu will preen a bit at that, because heck yeah he's cool.]

It's, er... did you just almost call him adorable?

[Silver holds his arm pretty still for Mugetsu and offers his hand for him to smell; he looks friendly enough, but it's better not to rush these things and potentially get bitten.]

It's nice to meet you, Mugetsu.

[Because sure, let's just talk directly to the cute thing that looks like a mix between an Ekans and a Ninetales. Weavile looks a little jealous, then decides that this is the perfect time to cozy up to Watanuki. It all balances out!]

Was he in the machine too? Should we get him something to eat?

Ah, well... I've never used any of these before. There is a dojo back at the citadel, but when I am in there it is to practice sparring with my blade.

[ ... ]

So I wondered, if this may be more effective or easier if there was a second person helping me with this.
